Street Art ‘Surgeon’ Cuts Open Cartoon Characters To Reveal Their Anatomy
183Kviews
Have you ever wondered what the skeleton of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle or a mermaid might look like? Nychos has – this Vienna-based artist seems to have a fascination with body anatomy, turning some of his wall murals into creepy dissections.
His focus on some of our favorite cartoon characters, and their total deconstruction, reminds of the unique artworks of Dan LuVisi and Pez, two other artists who like to destroy famous characters from people’s childhoods.
Though he’s based in Vienna, this artist has hit up other street art locations, including the streets of Brooklyn, NY. Check out his site to see more of his graffiti drawings, as well as his prints and merchandise printed with work by him and other artists!

I am horrified in an awesome way right now...
Amazing! Very creative, whimsical while also gruesome ~ a little shocking, but colorful and playful, too! Interesting!!!
I'm in awe!!
These look too chaotic to be educational and too beautiful to be gross.

Creepy

The knowledge of anatomy is remarkable! A smart street-artist. Love!!
Guess I'll regret asking, but is that fox thing a cartoon character, or just a... fox thing? Thank you.
So awesome!!!
Dope! Impressive artistic mind, The colors are very solid and the 3D dept is amazing, I would love to see extinct animals.
Amaising
This was a very creative interesting gallery. Each piece should be looked at several minutes to get the ]whole meaning. Wow great ART .
that is f*cked up and yet really awesome...
One of the best posts I've seen in a while.
Absolutely brilliant!
i got goose bumps, i got chills, i got amazed, i got creeped out. heavy stuff
I Wonder how long it took
Lol saw the ariel is in austria in linz i life 2mins away from it but it got allredy removed
Although I love the pictures, I think that graffiti is not the best medium for this art. These would have freaked me out as a kid.
It's not necessarily "graffiti". He very well could have asked permission of either the local government or building owners to do his artwor
i think they mean graffiti as a general term for spray painted art on public streets.
k. Some owners would love the free foot traffic a unique piece would attract to their business
I love these.
When I saw Mermaid first thought it was a weird design of a sushi bar or something
This idea is stolen from sculptor Jason Freeny!
There are plenty of other artists that do that. Should I go asking how you're so sure Freeny hasn't stolen the idea from somebody else?
I like the implants on Ariel. Realistic
Um... Those aren't implants. That's how the inner structure of a breast looks.
