‘Porca Miseria’ By Ingo Maurer
Ingo Maurer is a master of lamp-making. Porca Miseria chandelier is one of his best works. This design was custom made for a customer who had a sterile atmosphere in his kitchen. Maurer thought that a “big bang” was necessary to break it and a particular film (‘Zabriskie Point’ by Michelangelo Antonioni) came to his mind. It has a scene in which multiple angles capture an explosion of a villa in slow motion.

Interesting that it is supposed to be "explosion of a villa in slow motion". I had rather thought it was "angry cook" or "frustrated housewife". But I DO love the concept. <3
I like your titles. Much more suited to the piece.

There is one of these chandeliers in the Blue dining room in Waddesdon Manor, England. It is amazing how well it fits in with the traditional decor of the room. c-1-of-1-4...3ef8ad.jpg
