Media is packed with shiny covers and airbrushed images of celebrities we love, but the candid behind-the-scenes images that capture the unpolished truths and honest emotions of these famous faces are what show someone we can actually relate to.

Here is a time travel to the glory days of the greatest pop culture legends of all time. Incredible timeless images captured by utterly talented photographers offer a glimpse into iconic moments of celebrities‘ lives and let us feel like a small part of their intriguing world. Some of them are not with us anymore, others’ fame has vanished, but these vintage images of the biggest names of the last decades hold many memories and make us remember why these people are so special.

Morrison Hotel Gallery has collected thousands of nostalgic images featuring some of the most popular artists and events in history. It is the world's leading brand for fine art music photography representing over 125 of the greatest music photographers and their archives.

Take the trip down the memory lane through the gallery of some rare pictures from the past you probably haven‘t seen before, to remember and celebrate icons in their golden days.

She went to my high school for a year; Arcadia High School, Arcadia, CA. Unfortunately, it was before I went there. I looked her up in the yearbook from that year, and found out her real name is Stephanie Nixon.

He's the one musician who boggles my mind the most. He's an incredible songwriter and musician to be sure. I always wonder why he doesn't have other people sing for him, it sounds like he's hurting his voice. I know many will disagree with me though

There's episodes of Marc Bolan's old show "Marc" on YouTube. Only one series of 6 episodes was made (in 1978). On the last one, not only was Bowie on performing "Heroes", but Billy Idol and his band Generation X made their TV debut. They had to borrow Marc's guitar for their set. It was a very odd show (to me, anyway). There was never a chance to do another series because Marc died a couple of weeks after taping that episode.

I didn't like her then, but times change, and I've gotten older and more experienced. Relationships don't always work out. John was probably not easy to live with, for either Cynthia or Yoko. It was what it was.

The music of my youth. Amazing what they had to endure at a time when life was far from ‘Rock Star’. Such a road they paved, and most survived, in spite of the crap thrown at them.

Wow. If this was the end of 1980, we weren't going to have him much longer. I remember the moment his death was announced. I was 20 years old and working at an airport. I saw people come off planes, see the TVs showing the news, and just stand there, as shocked and silent as the rest of us were. I cried. The Beatles, together and separately, were a major part of my childhood and teens. I miss the music he didn't get to make.
