Never move a cat from your chair. it might kill you. everybody knows that.
I had a roommate for awhile who was exactly like this! About six years after I got my first rescue cat, a friend of mine moved in with me so she could get back on her feet during a rough time in her life. One night, we were sitting down eating dinner, and my cat (who was not crazy about sharing me with this new human), walked right up to her chair and yowled. Before she'd moved in, he had the habit of jumping on that chair so he was near me. She said, "Okay, Meeko, I'll move." And then did, for crying out loud! So after that he would just boss her around all the time.. She'd hang out in the living room when she wanted to go back to her room and take a nap or read or whatever, because he'd lay in front of the doorway and look at her like, "I don't give you permission. This was my room first!" I went out of town for a conference for a few days once. He woke her up at 5:30 on a Saturday because he was hungry, something he never did with me.. He'd yowl at me for sitting and talking to her instead of paying attention to him, but it didn't do him any good. He only got to be the alpha cat with her. LOL. He's been gone for five years now, and I have a beautiful new rescue kitty, but I still miss that character sometimes.
My trick is with the one cat that's more of Daddy's boy is to make my husband move that cat so the cat doesn't have a reason to dislike me. Therefore I normally have positive interactions with him...except when he chases his big sister.
EVERY single time I get up, my cat steals my chair. in fact, I recognize the look on his face, when he's getting ready to jump on top of me in said chair as well. Lol
I have the same chair bought from Cot o but sadly no longer have my lovely cat to lie on it.(which she did)

My cat takes over my bed, my wheelchair, my living room chair,etc. Occassionally he thinks he's a kitchen or living room rug. Hes a fairly large cat. I know he'll always love me, so i have no problems moving him.
I also say that about my dogs when I have to do things I know they won't like.

Aww, I need this too at my work. The cat is so beautiful. Love this color of fur. We once saved a kitten like this. Someone dumped him on highway. We found a loving foster home for him.
