Woman Finally Films The Mysterious ‘Lover’ That Has Been Bringing Her Flowers, And It’s Not What She Expected

Who doesn’t like getting flowers? Regularly? From a secret admirer? That’s a classic recipe for getting through the day, no doubt. When Rosie from the UK noticed pink flowers regularly appearing on her terrace, she had no clue who had been behind them. One day, however, the cat was let out of the bag.

It was Willow, her neighbors’ kitty! “For a while, it was just a legend that it was her until yesterday when I was cooking and spotted her jumping down with a pink flower in her mouth,” Rosie told Love Meow. “I was so excited that I went to film it because she’s so cute and I’d never seen a cat ever bring back anything but dead animals before.”

Willow loves everyone, and everyone loves Willow. She frequently visits people from all over the area and in return they give the kitty treats and pets. Sometimes, even a spot on their couch!

(h/t lovemeow)

This is what the owner of this lawn, Rosie, sees almost every day

A romantic gesture of a neighbor cat, Willow, who always shows up with pink flowers in her mouth

“We live on a street of terraced houses that backs onto another street of terraced houses with a kind of garden corridor between”

“Willow rules over about six of the gardens, and I’m pretty sure she gets fed by everyone because she’s very difficult to say no to”

“For a while, It was just a legend that it was her until yesterday when I was cooking and spotted her jumping down with a pink flower in her mouth”

“I’d never seen a cat ever bring back anything but dead animals before”

“She clearly likes us because she steals flowers from (her owners) and leaves them on our deck”

The lovely kitty has been visiting Rosie since she moved into the house

And since early spring, the flowers have been coming

“It was at least ten flowers before we realized it was her”

These romantic gestures have earned a special place in Rosie’s heart

And Willow has become a frequent visitor in her house

Who could say no to such a cutie?

Maybe Willow is thinking about becoming a full-time gardener?

People were quick to react to the heartwarming story

When I was young, we had a cat called Elvira, who liked to pick tulips. She'd bring home a tulip head every day, and give them to our mother. One day, we found out where they had come from. There was a neat row of tulip stalks in one of the gardens of our road, without heads!

This is not uncommon behaviour in cats. At its heart it is a modification of a cat's instinct to bring prey home for its growing kittens, with the prey having been replaced by flowers, socks, or whatever particular obsession a cat gets into it's head. I had a friend once whose cat used to bring home the dried leaves of umbrella trees - from what we could figure it was the rustling sound that it liked. My friend would sometimes end up with a dozen or more leaves on the front mat, which was all the more notable for the fact that we never figured out where in the neughbourhood the actual tree grew! The othe surprising thing was that the cat was male - we didn't expect a male cat to display that instinct.

City cats have been observed making sure the kittens / pregnant and lactating cats eat first. One day I will find that report again.

My lovely, elderly neighbor mentioned that my cat kept sneaking into her house. She said she would find him curled up on her bed, asleep on her sofa etc. I said I wondered what would make him start doing that out of the blue and she said "oh, it could have been that piece of salmon I defrosted for him". Ya think? 😂😂😂

She's such a beauty. Looks like she's a Maine C**n, just like my kitty, Mr. Meow Meow. He's the sweetest cat I've ever had. If Willow came to my house, she'd find lots of cat treats and love. ❤️

She's out in the gardens. Not busy street in the middle of city. Why it's bad for the cat? Also, not every cat get interested in catching birds. My family had 8 cats since I was born (obviously not at the same time) and only one of them had episodes of bringing half-dead birds home. And it was only for one year, when he was young cat (and were testing his hunting skills).

I would love to know what sort of flower that is..... and if it is poisonous to cats, Thinking about cat behavior and how they will let humans know something is wrong :for example the cats that demand we look at their pee. Anyone?

Well, cats sometimes do that. My (now dead) cat Funia used to be cat of my neightbour (living across the street) and sometimes she came to sleep to my room at night. Funia ate some of our cats' food and she went to sleep. Next morning she was gone. She did that for years. Her owner knew about this, we told her. When her owner bougt herself a big dog (and basicly never bother to make cat and dog accepting each other), Funia decided to move out of her house and move in pernamently to our place. We did bring her back to her owner for next weeks but we gave up eventually: her owner wasn't intersted in her anymore, cat wanted to live with us. Funia spent last few years peacefully in our home, didn't go out much in last two years and she was 16 years old when she died of old age. It was spring. After winter, when she was indoors all day, she started to go out, to our surprise. It lasted for 2 weeks. One day went out to her favourite garden place and we found her dead next morning here.

It is possible that the cat likes you and therefore brings you flowers. It is more likely that the cat dislikes someone else and is stealing their beloved flowers and disposing of them in your yard. Cats are like that.

Next time she's in the box, tape it up and ship her to be. I would love to have fur trim like that around the collar of my coat, how romantic! Just to prove I not cruel you must be sure to put air holes in the box so she can breathe. Very easily done with a long sharp knife poked randomly all over the box so it properly ventilated. Thank you so much! I love stories like this one, love from afar. :O}
