Domestic cats love to play, this applies particularly to kittens who enjoy chasing toys and play fighting. Play fighting between kittens is more than just entertainment and can be a way for them to practice and learn skills for hunting and fighting.

Most people refer to all felines as cats or kittens depending on the age - but this is not the proper terminology. A group of cats is called a clowder, a male cat is called a tom, a female cat is called a molly or queen while young cats are called kittens.
You might not think of your silly cat as a vicious predator but felines are natural hunters. When they walk, their back paws step in almost exactly the same place as the front paws do in order to minimize noise and limit visible tracks. Cats have powerful night vision, excellent hearing and a powerful sense of smell.
We have come to associate purring with contentment when it comes to cats, but turns out just because a cat is purring doesn’t mean the cat is happy. Had to give my cat pills once. She's wasn't a super warm and friendly begin with, she was very aloof. Knew I was going to have to prepare for battle. Decided I would try to "swaddle" her in a towel so she couldn't claw me. Well, those were MY plans, silly me. She saw me coming, I should have known to "throw in the towel" right there. But no, I go in and put the towel on her, she shrieks like a banshee, tried to leap, grabbed her in midair and in her fear she sprayed me with diarrhea :( Not only did it get all over me, on my hair, on my face but it was in every nook and cranny of my dining room. Took me hours to clean! Called the vet and said we need another option, I can't do this for 10 days. Lol. And of course then the vet tells me she could have given her a shot while we were at the vet earlier...Say what? Why didn't you make this offer before? And of course the cat's trust in me never recovered. Ever.
There's a good story behind this gaffer tape, I bet it has a lot to do with claws.
We had our Manx groomed once a month or so. SHe enjoyed it tho the groomer put mittens on Hootie's front paws that would sometimes swipe. She had excess fur and our hot climate made her uncomfortable. Was the best stray that ever showed up here. She lived a full life here and I miss her.
My Persiand are the only cats their groomer accepts as clients. It seems they (mostly) are good boys when there, though Andy did scratch his groomer two times ago, leaving me concerned they'd become the last cats the groomer took in! (She forgave Andy because she knows he's a good kitty, but he tends to get bored after a few minutes and becomes irritable....)
I wonder if that big dent is related to the decision to stop grooming cats. I think it's a safe bet.
Well speaking of bunnies... I will officially be going to the dark side in a few minutes because one naughty bunny here chewed up my charger... goodbye for now civilization.

These were great. My roommate had to put his cat down just today. She was 22 years old. I think this will definitely lift his spirits.
I'm not sure. Chances are, it will be heartbreaking. He loved his cat and might not be ready to confront himself with such a load of cuteness and silliness while he's deprived of his own... Consider he's grieving really hard.
