Trapped Inside A Shipping Container For 3 Weeks, Cat Survives By Eating Candy

What was the biggest adventure you ever went on? It was probably not as epic as the adventure this cat went on recently. A company from Ukraine called Star Shine Shipping created a post on the 14 of January showing off the stowaway that they recently caught in one of their containers. The cat was surprisingly alive and well and didn’t look bad at all.

The kitten traveled about 3 weeks and around 3000 km from Ukraine to Israel. The only thing he had to eat was the candy they were transporting. What surprised the people that found him the most was that the cat didn’t really have any drinkable water and still managed to come out almost completely healthy.

It is still a mystery how the cat managed to survive for that long without normal food and especially water. Most people say it was a miracle. The company was guessing that the traveler survived by drinking drops of water he found around the container and, of course, eating the sweets.

The people that found him were very surprised that he was alive since there was no food or water in the container

The company did an investigation. CCTV footage revealed that the cat got into the containers while they were loading the boxes with sweets. The company said that the cat feels fine and his condition is great, which is really good to hear.

The company said that the kitten is alive and well. He will probably go on new adventures soon enough, hopefully, this time they will be much safer

Wtf isn’t candy bad for cats? I know it is not as bad as chocolate, but candy can cause conditions for cats. Still glad he somehow survived.

My cat Ozzy was stuck in a Walmart semi trailer and luckily I knew someone at the store who called me and I spent 6 hours trying to catch him. He never recovered from that and is still a nervous wreck but after a little over a year he's finally warming up to me.

In case he's a jewish cat, he should make sure to be recognized as citizen in Israel. His genitalia likely are partially amputated anyways, so there won't be much left to do to him... But ... man, three weeks? That's hard. I know how my cats always were crying when they had to wait three minutes for their meal ... sounded like they died every few seconds, over and over and over ... and how bored must he have got? Nothing around ... dark, weird noises from outside ... hope he isn't too stressed or traumatized or something...

i feel so bad for this cat, he's fine now but who knows what sort of lasting damage this did to his organs, plus it can't have been pleasant at the time, it probably wrecked his digestion, between sugar and not nearly enough water :(

Let's not forget, that this kitty did more than just eat candy and drink whatever drops of water he could find. What comes in must go out. I can only imagine how the container reeked after three months.

What kind of candy was that? Cats don't eat sugar, but they can eat some dough.

Great story and I'm calling BS. A cat can only survive a few days, maybe up to 5, without water. So unless that candy was loaded with moisture....
