This Cat Loves Stealing His Neighbors’ Shoes So Much, His Owner Even Created A Facebook Group To Return Them
Hunting, annoying the dog, out of all the careers this cat could have chosen, he devoted himself to a life of thievery. However, at this point, it looks like his owner is making amends for the feline’s crimes.
Earlier this month, BJ Ross from Altoona, Pennsylvania, created a Facebook group to address one of her pet cat Jordan’s dirty habits: stealing their neighbors’ shoes. According to WTAJ, the six-pound, black-and-white kitty is constantly going out during the night and returning home with loot in its jaws.
Ross hopes social media will help to return the footwear to its respective owners, but has also made Jordan famous and now the whole world knows about his shenanigans.
Here’s a video, hilariously shaming the criminal

His owners find a couple of shoes every morning
And now they have over 50
Jordan looks really proud of his stash
“If y’all know my cat Jordan, y’all know he loves to bring me home shoes!” the cat’s owner wrote in the group.
After learning about the cat’s secret life, Jordan’s owner BJ Ross put a GPS tracker on him
According to Jordan’s GPS tracker, this committed burglar maintains a large territory that encompasses multiple visits to houses all over the neighborhood. This could be because Jordan likes to present his owner with complete pairs, but — being a cat – can only carry one shoe at a time. A lesser cat burglar might find this limiting, but not Jordan. Plus, he prepares for his nightly misadventures with lots of proactive napping.
He can walk up to 7-8 miles a night, plotting a new heist
Ross even installed a security cam in the back to collect more evidence
Ross even created a Facebook group where people can discuss about Jordan and his crimes
And everyone absolutely adores him
My cat came home with a slice of pizza on two different occasions. I have no idea where he got it from!
he stole it from the pizza rat, or they were working together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPXUG8q4jKU

I'm curious how the cat manages to obtain so many shoes. Do all of these houses keep their shoes outside? Do they all have unsecured doggie doors? If I were a burglar, I might just follow this cat around to find the easy marks.
in pandemic it can be.. we let the shoes in the yard

Okay, I get that this is funny. But it really isn't safe for cats to be let outside. The average lifespan of an outdoor cat is 2-5 years. The average lifespan of an indoor cat is 15-17 years. A significant difference. Sorry to be a downer, but those are facts.
For what area are those numbers? If you don't live near busy streets and you don't have crazy wildlife like some people in the US have, it's safe for cats to be outside. It's cruel to a cat to be locked up in an apartment all their life too.

Yeah I had one that liked used sanitary napkins!😑
Load More Replies...wow, that cat has better stash of shoes than I do and looks super proud of it <3
How's about you keep ur cat inside before something terrible happens to him?
GIGGLE :-) I would ask Jackson Galaxy if he has any idea of why dear sweet Jordan is doing that :-)
He would tell you to KEEP THE CAT INSIDE where it belongs.

Jordan is a gorgeous kitty. Hope the owners find their shoe back, lol.
My uncle had a cat about 40 years ago that would steal clothing from neighbors. He even brought home a towel. Once he went into a neighbors bedroom through the open sliding door & stole her bra she had layed out on the bed. He was written up in the local newspaper.
All well and cute until someone hits him with their car. I'd make him an indoor cat and let people's shoes stay at home.
I like the way puss in boots came home with some pairs. Wasn't happy with the one so went back for the other. Ever thought about a car boot sale?

At least my cat only steals MY shoes. I just have to go and rescue them from her current nest when they go missing. Also has branched out to cotton face masks, which is irritating.
"Everyone loves him?" He is stealing! (Of course, I'm blaming the owners-not the cat.) You have the right to leave things on your property and expect them to stay there. Bring the shoes inside? You shouldn't have to, but I've also seen those"I don't have a cat photos. " Some people are dangerously allergic. And what about those cats that curl up on baby's faces and suffocate them (again, not blaming the cat)
how are you getting that this cat is sleeping on random baby’s faces?

Would you let your dog wander all hours of the night? Indoor cats still lead happy & more healthy lives with a much longer lifespan. If you feel you really must let your cat outdoors then build a catio, an enclosed outdoor area, or leash them & go for walks. Don't bitxh about how hard it is, I've had many indoor cats over my life & it's been fine. You do realise that it's a tiny fluffy thing that you can physically control...?
This yet another reason your cat should stay inside! Cats do not belong outside unless attended, in a caterio, or on a leash
I totally disagree! So you want to stay inside your whole life when you were born to climb trees and hunt!? Ridiculous.

My city has leash laws. This cat could be trapped and taken to Animal Control.. very expensive to get him back. After so many violations AC will keep your pet!
