Cat Spotted Regularly Taking Subway In Tokyo All By Himself

While the Tokyo subway system might seem confusing for many, this cat laughs at them all. The smart feline has been spotted taking the city’s Seibu Ikebukuro Line at least several times. And he seems so cool about it! No map needed.

People have been noticing the unusual passenger since at least 2013. Of course, it’s not entirely clear that it’s the same cat, although they look pretty much the same. Other passengers have also noted his excellent subway etiquette – he always tries to make himself as compact as possible (except for an occasional cat nap which doesn’t seem to bother anyone). Cuteness must be his ticket!

“Looks like this cat is on his way home after a day of hanging out in ikebukuro,” tweeted @manpukuoya

I'm surprised but glad at the same time, that nobody nabbed him to take home for keeps. Smart kitty for sure!

Animals are smarting than we think & give them credit for. They can be much more to humanity if we only took a minute & paid more attention.

I wonder how he knows which stop to get off at... and where he's going to visit in the first place! Someone should follow him one day, just to see what his trips are for!

Some trains of the subway don't go entirely underground for the wgole trip. In fact, once you access them underground, depending on your destination, its railsway can stard from under the ground, up on the ground level, even so high that it gives you a cute panoramic city view. And it's still called a subway because it's all the same trains and same railroads.

IMPORTANT!!! This cat is being abused and neglected by the owner. The cat is often abused by the owner. The man puts the cat there and does not feed any water to this cat and some others to avoid urination during these train displays and trips. The cat is also infested with flees. In addition, the man puts the cat on street signs and cherry blossom trees that are extremely high. The owner is delusional and believes he is making people happy by creating an attraction so that people can take pictures with his cats. This cat and about 30 others that lives with this man is being abused. Japanese authorities are not willing to step in despite a growing number of Japanese locals starting to notice the abnormality of this cat and several others appearing on tall street signs that they clearly cannot climb up onto. There are number of people starting to keep track of this man and we are hoping to gain more public awareness of this issue. Please reach me at nogizaka1@gmail.com for other Japanes

Looks like the cat who works at the Hachiko statue outside of Shibuya station. He's just commuting to and from work. https://www.google.com/search?q=cat+at+shibuya+dog+statue&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiTotamrPLTAhUV8mMKHRY7AFAQsAQIOw&biw=1440&bih=855
