This Vet Put Explanations Of 15 Common Cat Behaviours On His Cork Board, And It’s Hilarious

Whereas dogs often wear their hearts on their sleeves, cats are generally more enigmatic creatures, but these fifteen useful illustrations will help you to decode many of your feline friend’s most common quirks.

Originally created by Adam Ellis, they were recently spotted on a veterinarian’s cork board by somebody called ItsJayOrDan, and as you can see below, it’s clear that this particular vet has a good sense of humor. According to the pictures for example, when you see your cat wiggling back and forth, you might believe that they’re about to pounce, but it’s actually because cats have satellite transmitters in their butts and must periodically recalibrate to receive transmissions from their home planet. Likewise, when you see your cat rolling back and forth on the carpet, you might think it wants to play when in reality it’s probably just writhing in pain from eating some bad Thai food. Scroll down for more hilarious explanations for your cat’s seemingly normal behavior. They might not teach you much, but they’ll certainly make you laugh. (h/t: cheezburger)

Being a cat, I can confirm that this is true. By the way, for the last one (nowhere to be found), turn off the wifi. The time machine runs on wifi and will immediately shut down, transporting the cat back to where it was last found.

There's a book about that last one! "Time Cat", by Lloyd Alexander.

Concerning the last one: some creatures have the gift of ubiquity. Cats possess the gift of nulliquity. And don't even get me started on Schrödinger's cat!

Cats are VERY sensitive creatures and mine right now is a little miffed & pouting because humans are making fun of him & his cousins. Turned his back to y'all...

This makes me wish I was at home snuggling with my kitties instead of stuck at work.

I ALWAYS complement my cat's butt when he rubs it in my face. It's only polite.

VERY FUNNY! One of My Cats read it and Confirms That This IS THE WRITTEN TRUTH With The Exception of #8 Which is Simply That KITTY WANTS TO GO TO A YOGA CLASS Which Just Saved Human $6,800.00, AND #13 Where Some Cats "Bark" At Birds Which Sounds Like A MACHINE GUN & KITTY IS PRETENDING THAT HE'S SHOOTING DOWN ALL THE BIRDIES IN THE TREES... And THEN He Can Go Out & EAT THEM... A PURRFECT PLOT! THANX FOR THE LAUGH!! Purrs, Kat

I love this Vets humor about cats! I would love to have him as my vet for my two cats. It's hard to find a cat vet, one who specializes in just cats.

We don't "buy" cats. Never have. We do live near two rivers (The Sacramento and the American) and there is a vet's office down the street. They just show up and stay. We have five now but have had eight at several times. Our oldest is 14 now and the youngest is just over a year old and the others are still getting used to him.
