Please don't breed cats for a look. Well mixed genes means healthy cats. If there is 18 links of stray, backyard, runt of the litter, and general fuss-ball I'm happy, as is the cat.

My cat does this to my Great Dane. He stands on top of the dog and kneads the dog's back and then the dog carries the cat everywhere.
Small orange tabby 8-9mos would kneed or "massage" the very fat old cats back both purring away. So cute
One of my cats has 7 clawed toes on each paw. I freaking hate when she kneads. She uses all 4 paws. She's so cute, but it just hurts so damn much.
My cat used to nurse on herself (she's never had kittens). Asked the vet about it and he said it was like a child sucking their thumb. She grew out of it within a year.
Our cat used to do that but he had talons like a hawk and didn't know his own strength. One time he did this, his claw got caught under my skin and he pulled to free himself.
One of my cats do this a lot. My other girl never does this! I was told it is due to being taken away from the mother too soon. This is another reason that is possible.
Lemur, there is nothing better, than falling asleep to cool air, a purring cat, as the shared body warmth makes you both feel loved and cared for! Good for you!
It's a bonding thing. I had several cats who would nurse on a neutered male (who allowed it) after their mothers weaned them. They weren't getting any nourishment from Gus, but they were getting extended bonding with an affectionate cat. Just before Gus died, he had one 8 year old, a couple 7 year olds, and a 5 year old that would all nurse on him together. As they got older, they quit latching onto his nipples and would either just suck on a tuft of his fur around his nipple, or just hold their nose against his belly. I called them Gus's litter. NOT caused by neutering! All cats do this, it has nothing to do with being neutered or the presence or absence of sex hormones.
It reads nurtured, which means that when they feel loved the do to you what they used to do to their mother

My cat does this all the time on me, sometimes not very nice since her claws aren't clipped and they're quite long (* >ω<)
NOT CAUSED BY NEUTERING! All cats do this. Nothing to do with sex hormones.
The post didn't say "neutering" it said "nurtured" which is different.

This is incorrect. There have been at least a dozen species of cats that have gone extinct, even in the last 100 years. Leopard, lion and tiger subspecies have been obliterated by humans.
I remember of a news, may be ten years ago. Gendarmes found out that a travelling circus was feeding their lion with cats and dogs they stole in the villages where they settled.
I wonder if cat's know all this stuff about themselves, because mine act pretty helpless.
It's just an act to make you want to take care of them. :)

Cat toes are called 'toe beans', and the tufts of hair in their ears are called 'ear furnishings'.
I really love them all but I think #1 is great. Cats are better then people. My favorite animal.

Interesting to learn about tuna addiction. We once had a domestic medium hair who was definitely fish addicted, specifically a type of bait fish called a sprat. Any time we caught some, he'd meet us in the driveway, and yowl until we gave him half a dozen. We had to carefully ration them, because if we just gave him a bowl full, he'd eat until he was sick, then keep eating. He'd eat other things when fish wasn't an option, but as soon as there were sprats in the house, that was all he cared about.
The fact about no cat extinctions in 10,000 years is false. The Australian Tasmanian Tiger (or Thylacine) went extinct in 1936 when the last one died in the Hobart zoo. It was found to be more feline than canine despite also having the name Tasmanian Wolf.
The Thylacine wasn't a cat species though. It was a marsupial. Part of the Polyprotodonta family.

Cats bring you dead things because you are a part of their family. Some cats only share with their own young, some will share with the entire "pride", if you will, and some won't share at all. It depends on you and the cat. My cat kills things sometimes, but she rarely brings them to me because I bring her my "kills". She sees me as a good enough hunter for her not to need to share with me. The few times she does, though, is because she wants the praise of another "hunter", I suppose.
how dare they mark me as their territory there were about 10 to 15 of them at the same time lol~ not to mention they lick off the scent afterwards these bastards haha~

I read somewhere that cats respond better to lower frequencies and dogs to higher ones.
