This is Pam Pam, the kitty with the most mesmerizing eyes ever. See for yourself below, but don’t look at them for too long or you might never be able to look away again!
The reason Pam Pam’s eyes look like this is because of a condition called heterochromia iridis. It’s characterized by abnormalities in the iris, and those affected by the condition have one eye with a different color than the other. Another type of the condition, called segmental heterochromia, causes different colors in the same eye. Heterochromia can be caused by inbreeding, genetic inheritance, or mutation, and in some breeds of cats, like the Turkish Angora, heterochromia is a desirable trait that breeders try to maintain. Inherited heterochromia iridis is harmless, and it can be found in both animals and humans. Click here for a whole list of animals with different variations of the condition.
I wonder if this kitty is deaf in the ear with the blue eye (as is not uncommon). I have a Turkish Angora mix, and both his eyes are crystal blue, he was born deaf, however somehow, around the age of 6-7mos his hearing developed. Now he can hear me open a cheese wrapper from 500 feet away!
My cats too can hear a cheese wrapper from far away, LOL! Isn't that hilarious?!!! You are talking about American cheese singles, I assume? Mine can hear that wrapper every time.

My brown eye is on the right side and my blue eye is on my left side of my face maybe we're twins that came from different mothers
actually, there is a chance you got one of your eyes from your twin when you were still in the womb

Not sure if it's heterochromia, but my friend was born with one blue eye and one green (hazel) eye!

I always found it fascinating to study the 'genetic anomalies' found within different breeds, resulting from in-breeding. My family once raised 'Damnations' and their 'genetic anomaly' was Deafness. My Charlie is a Shih-tzu, and they are highly prone to allergies and breathing problems. The anomalies almost always come, attached with positive traits, so it take time to weed out the bad stuff. But in the meantime, that little fellow is so cute....................:D

We have a solid white cat with one blue eye and one gold eye - he is not deaf. Ne has the build of a Siamese, along with they voice they have.
This kitten is adorable. My first love had a blue eye and a green eye and he was adorable too. lol
Odd-eyed cats don't have to be deaf. More chance with blue eyed ones.

i think the kitten is cute. but do you have to put on a lot of its pic? we get it, it has nice eyes. no need to overexxagerate to the point that it gets annoying i want to run over this freak with my wheels if I see it.. sheesh
