This Cat Eating A Cake On His Birthday Is Hilariously Adorable

What is better, cats or cakes? A cat eating a cake! Yes, it is as adorable as it sounds and you can see it for yourself in the photos below.

While the content of the cake is unknown, Bored Panda would like to remind you that sweets are not good for your cat and chocolate can even be lethal.

I don't think it is? I've seen people (including myself) commission special cakes for my dog made of pet food. I'm pretty sure people made this trend for cats too!

The "icing" is actually unsweetened heavy whipping cream with a little food coloring. It's perfectly kitty safe since it's just milk. The "cake" underneath is non-existent lol it's just an upside down bowl ;)

I'd guess by the colour of the cake and the way that puss is tucking into it that it is a salmon mousse fishalicious cake!

Sorry to be the party pooper, but there is no way this cat got that frosting on its face on its own. The thick whiskers on a cat's face is linked directly into the central nervous system and are therefore REALLY sensitive. The cat most definitely would not have gotten gobs of pink frosting on those whiskers. Staged and super fake.

Actually cats can and do get "gobs" of things on their whiskers... they just tend to lick them very soon afterwards. Just ask my cat when he gets some Ice cream or yogurt for a treat.

Cats and babies. People just can’t resist smearing their face for a money shot. Cats are much more refined than dogs. A cat would eat that and never get any on itself. If it did happen to get a dab, it would stop and clean itself.

You can make a conventional-looking cake that is actually composed of foods that are good for your cat or dog. All that pretty pink frosting can be made from whipped cream cheese colored with a little beet juice, for example. Since cats don't really have sweet taste-receptors, I doubt a kitty would tear into a sweet, human-type cake. And, Julie, "real" cakes are so bad for a human, too, especially a child.

Megan Gore

Cats drink cream, it's very possible they just did whipping cream and food dye to make the icing. If you whip heavy whipping cream it makes a cool whip topping, but it's only good as a frosting if you add some powdered sugar. So I'm guessing this was the equivalent of the cat eating a bowl of milk or cream.

You can make dog/cat friendly frosting out yogurt or cream cheese with honey or maple syrup as a sweetener... It's perfectly safe however I wouldn't suggest a cat consume a whole cake of that size... Super adorable tho ????

My kitty's bday is this Friday and I'm struggling with ideas for her 3rd , but her first with me. I like the cake idea. I just wouldn't know how to go about doing that.

Look up a recipe for a frosting made from heavy whipping cream. Basically you just beat the hell out of Heavy Whipping Cream with an electric mixer or egg beater and you can color it with a couple drops of food dye. As long as you don't add any sugar or sweetener it would be the same as giving your cat a bowl of milk. If you want to decorate something it can eat, a can of cat food is about the right size to be a one layer cake.
