Pediatrician of 30 Years Reveals How To Calm A Crying Baby In Seconds

Robert Hamilton, an expert pediatrician in Santa Monica who has about 30 years of experience, has released a useful and adorable video about the best way to calm down a fussy baby. In the video, he gives detailed instructions that include gently shaking the baby’s booty.

“You don’t want to do jerking motions ever,” he explains in the video, but the most delightfully cute parts of his instructions still remain. If you want to see the master explain it himself, be sure to watch his video – his trick works like a charm!

If your baby’s crying, all you have to do is…

“Shake their booty”

I wish I'd thought to try this 14 years ago when my baby would never stop crying.

I hope this works. We have three pregnant ladies in our family, I sent it to all three. And, yes, I too wish I had known this!

As neonatal physical therapist, i've found easiest way to calm your baby: Make "slide" with your index finger from lower end of breastbone (sternum) to the belly-button. Do it gently, like when you pet your cat. IMPORTANT: Don't move finger in both directions, repeat it downwards only.

Looks like this mimics fetal positioning in the mother's womb and the gentle motions felt by the mother's breathing and walking.

Looks like it mimics positioning in the womb coupled with the gentle bouncing they must feel when the mother is moving or walking or even breathing.

So much better is real love - it works and it prevents traumatization of the lack of ability to really love which is intricate in our social conditioning - to learn to really love is not too difficult - it needs to face our fear of initmacy.
