Every workplace has its annoying rules, but sometimes one hears horror stories of managers monitoring every keystroke or timing bathroom breaks down to the second. Unfortunately, it’s not always enough to just suggest it’s a case of greedy management.
We’ve put together a list of posts showcasing and highlighting the rather dystopian and depressing reality of life in or around late stage capitalism. So get comfortable, make sure your boss isn’t watching as you scroll through, upvote the most poignant examples and be sure to share your thoughts in the comments below.

Epstein could and did. Sick b*****d. Then offed himself, should have lived to see his Shame and d*e in prison!
End Capitalism
The Call Is Coming From Inside The House
I was homeless for a few years, 2011-2014 , California, age 60. No help from the county Social Services because I was an "Able-Bodied Adult Male". A good friend let me camp (in a tiny trailer I owned) on his commercial property, he had a porta-potty on site I was allowed to use, and I plugged into his electricity for light and for heat during the cold/snowy winter. No running water except for a garden hose during the summer. I was enrolled at the local junior college so I got a student discount rate at our local fitness center and that's where I showered, a couple times a week. Finally got into Veteran's Homeless program in Reno, NV, 2014, found employment, worked until Social Security retirement at age 63. Yeah, I had it relatively posh compared to many if not most homeless, but being homeless is depressing beyond words and extremely difficult to climb your way out of in America.
Mommy I’m Scared Of Socialism
Harsh Reality
Capitalism Only Exists To Stand Between People And Help
The next time someone hits you with "straight Pride month" or "All lives matter", imagine firefighters doing all they can to extinguish a house completely on fire, while some angry moron is shouting at them "What about MY house? Does it not matter? I demand you solve my house's problems RIGHT NOW!" while all they have is a leaky water tap in their kitchen
Capitalism Doesn’t Reward Hard Work. It Punishes It
There Is No Nonprofit That Can Replace Medicare For All
And then some SOB nepo baby will condescendingly tell you from their yacht that "the best cure for mental health problems is just hustling harder 😎"

Capitalism’s Greatest Gaslighting Lie
If CEOs work sooooo hard to deserve their billions, how can they handle being CEOs of multiple companies at once?

Engineered Poverty
I'm a Boomer who grew up poor. What I see now boggles the mind. Food prices! It will get worse. However people where I live spend like there's no tomorrow!
Landlords Do Not Provide Housing. We Will Never Have Affordable Housing Until We Eliminate Corporate Landlords

Capitalism Is Designed To Enrich The Ruling Class
I have a brother who is a retired veteran who is homeless because he can't find affordable rent. Hopefully he will soon since getting his full retirement pay. But doubtful he could pay for food and car expenses on top of that.
Life's Just A Transaction
Capitalism Is So Good
This Story Shouldn't Make Anyone "Feel Good". We Should All Be Outraged That This Happens In America
We No Longer Work To Live, We Simply Work To Survive
Same. The studio I rented when I was a cook at 21 was $400 a month. It now goes for $1600+. I make 3x what I did and I cannot afford to live without a roommate. I have worked in several fields and though the rate of pay has more than tripled the value of the dollar has fallen significantly more than that.
The "Secret" Is Out
Capitalism At Its Finest
Not Wanting A Job One Feels Degraded By Is Not A Valid Definition Of Laziness.
Its Just That
RN I'm reading a book where a pirate character is like "We're doing a favor to the economy! We steal from the rich, who only hoard their wealth, distribute it among us, and then we spend the money like a stimulus!" Hard to argue with that logic.
Meanwhile, Capitalism Forces The Media To Blame Millennials For Not Purchasing Houses Or Diamonds Or Cars... With What Money? The 1% Steal It All! From Us

Capitalism Is Not Freedom
"No no no! You have the freedom to choose from sixteen brands of peanut butter (which all comes from a single factory anyway)! Be grateful for that, peasants!"

How do those people in the apartments stand looking out over the slums? How do the people in the slums stand looking at those apartments? oh wait, they probably work in them.

Capitalism Doesn't Solve Problems. It Creates Problems
Capitalism solves problems, too - just not social ones. Similarly a mainly socially oriented system will run into problems that capitalism offers approaches to solving. The more exclusive either of them are, the more severe and "unsolvable" the problems will become. We need a mix and case to case decisions, correcting the course now and again before drifting into extremist waters.
Landlords Provide Housing? Nope
Many Such Cases
American CEO: 'We need to get rid of immigrants'. Same American CEO: 'No one wants to work anymore'. Person in Honduras, El Salvador: 'Wanna bet?'
The Ruling Class Should Be Afraid
Everyone is quick to call zoomers & gen-alphas "lazy, entitled brats" but I (a young millennial) applaud their unwillingness to deepthroat the corporate boot. This is the way, my skibidi six-seven brothers.
"You're So Greedy" For Wanting To Enjoy Life Instead Of Struggle Through It
My grandmother was a waitress and my grandfather was a butcher. They had 2 kids and paid off their house when I was very young. This sounds like something out of a fairytale now in today's economy.

Don't Let Them Fool You. Capitalism Isn't Democracy
Of course there can be democracy and capitalism, but it needs rules so politicians and elections cannot be bought.
