We already featured the work of Kosovan makeup artist Arber Bytygi, who makes such incredible transformations for brides-to-be that the groom might think he showed up at the wrong wedding!
While some might prefer a subtle, natural look on their big day, Arber specializes in glamorous, dramatic makeup, turning women into the Kardashian version of beauty – all smoky eyes, bold brows and painted lips.

Having amassed over 300k followers on Instagram, it’s fair to say that Arber’s makeup looks have proven to be popular and inspiring for many future brides. His skill at accentuating the features of a woman is beyond doubt, even if a wide range of different and unique women do end up looking vaguely alike.

It all depends on the beautiful bride’s preference – if she prefers a more natural look, Arber can do that too!

“I got interested in professional makeup when I was just a child,” Arber said in an earlier interview with Bored Panda. “The first drawings that I did were of eyes, girls or dresses. I used to take my mom’s makeup and play with it when I was only five years old, so I knew that I’ll become a makeup artist pretty early.”

“When I meet my client, the first question I ask is what kind of occasion are they getting their makeup done for. I also ask my clients if they have any specific requests. For example, if they want a natural or dramatic look. Then I ask them [to show me] the dress that they are going to wear. The design of the dress and its details reveal the style of the look the client is going for. Then, I analyze their facial features.”

“We serve more than one thousand brides in a year. The summer, in particular, is a very demanding season for bridal makeup. During this period, I and my team serve as many as 60 or more clients daily.”

“Makeup is like jewelry for the face,” Arber said to everyone experimenting with makeup. “Play with colors and shapes. Don’t be afraid to transform yourself. At the end of the day, you can just clean it.”

Oh dear. It's surely art to paint a face like that but those women look unrecognizable. A bride should look like her best self not like a doll. It's probably a matter of personal taste but I don't fancy that makeup style at all.
'look like her best self' - that's really nicely put.
Yup absolutely!!
When the furture husband has to check if hes getting married to the right woman...
Exactly. Some are completely unrecognizable. In my opinion, it's perfectly fine to use makeup but it should be used to ENHANCE one's natural beauty, not mask it.
Well said...
Agree
I think that half of it is the result of heavy makeup but the other half is due to Photoshopping. Why anyone would like to look like someone else when they are getting married is beyond me.
Agreed. I do makeup for film and television but will randomly do a wedding here and there and I always steer them away from doing heavy mask like makeup. I usually wind up doing a more natural beauty look kicked up a notch with maybe some individual lashes and a bright lip. These looks are really over the top. They shouldn't look like a completely different person.
i agree, it's a bit too much for a wedding

FFS women, you're all beautiful as you are. Seriously, all the left picture is nicer to look than the over the top mask you put on yourself on the right. Yes, I'm a man. I strongly against makeup but I get it. A little makeup can boost someone confidence and it's oke, but this is simply ridiculous. You turn yourself into a completely different person. Please stop this clown act and be yourself and I can't point it out enough. You're all beautiful women!
Aww you are super sweet. That was a very nice thing to say, thank you :).
I agree wholeheartedly!! We like to see you look like... YOU!!! Meeting someone, and wondering "what do you *actually* look like?", is frustrating to say the least. We understand the premise of makeup, and that it can make you feel more confident within today's expectations of "beauty".... but this level of distortion is completely NOT NECESSARY! When I'm old and gray, and looking back at my wedding photos, I want to be able to recognise the person I married. <3
Sadly what you don’t seem to realize as a man, is that because this society is a very misogynistic one, women are brainwashed from a young age to believe that without makeup we are “ugly” and “unworthy” of being people. The truth is, if we want to stop women from wearing makeup like this, then we need to start making society stop perpetuating these beliefs and start showing that all humans are beautiful the way we are.
That, I believe, is exactly what boredhuman is trying to do: to stop perpetuating these ludicrous beliefs, and to promote the fact that *men* don't require this distortion of women's natural, inherent beauty .... only the beauty company's marketing team do.
you are so right . they look like dolls, you could scrape that makeup off with a trowel. I don't think men like this look, so fake, they prefer a more natural woman, in my experience . Only women think this looks good, other women with low self esteem
Most dolls don't have that much paint on them.
Thank you for invaluable advice!! I have never worn makeup, sometimes only lip tint. At times though I can feel outdone and left out by so many girls and friends I come across.. I also get the impression that to them- I don't bother in looking beautiful i.e. by putting makeup on. I know how much I take care of my appearance so much without it, but makeup speaks volumes to everyone at times bc it's artsy, fun and up-to-date, for lack of better word..
Thank you so much. Even though I doubt I'm ever going to get married, I still have self confidence issues. So thank you for this
It is the eye brows. Everyone of them was the same. It is like a stencil was used and then filled in. Everyone of them was over done.
Amen!!
If they feel beautiful wearing that makeup, who are you to ask them not to do it? o.0
For me personally most of it is way too much, the shine is unnatural, makeup of a Barbie doll, and I really dislike the mile long lashes and huge lips in superdark matte color. The women are beautiful and the difference is remarkable, but for me, other styles of makeup would make them even more beautiful.
I thought the same thing about the eyes and lips. 99% are overdone. I wouldn't have matched any of them with their original photo- they are so far removed from reality.
Your face is over done , I mean if I had a face life tours I would sue my parents 😐
You wouldn’t have matched them? So, does anyone notice the misogyny in this comment thread, or is this a new Incel Beauty Advice website from Fox?
