Many brides spend a lot of time coming up with their look for the big day. But when they find their wedding dress, experience that Cinderella moment with the perfect shoes, and spend hours scrolling through Instagram and Pinterest looking for just the right hairstyle, and tick almost every aspect of their bridal ensemble to-do list, all there's left to do is find a makeup artist that pulls it all together.
Makeup artist and beauty influencer Arber Bytyqi is one of those people. We already covered his work in an earlier article, but Arber has been keeping himself really busy, and continued sharing before-and-after pictures of his clients, so we decided to do an update on what he's up to.

Since our previous piece, Arber's Instagram follower army has grown by over 100,000. "When I meet my client, the first question I ask is what kind of occasion are they getting their makeup done for. I also ask my clients if they have any specific requests. For example, if they want a natural or dramatic look. Then I ask them [to show me] the dress that they are going to wear. The design of the dress and its details reveal the style of the look the client is going for. Then, I analyze their facial features," the makeup artist told Bored Panda.

Arber wanted to become a makeup artist pretty early in life but when he finished high school, his family opposed this idea. "In our culture, a male in the beauty industry is considered taboo," he explained. "So, at first, I got a master’s degree in economics, and only then did I follow my dream and started working as a makeup artist."
Now, he and his team usually serve more than one thousand brides in a year. "The summer, in particular, is a very demanding season for wedding makeup. During this period, we serve as many as 60 or more clients daily."
That's a lot. But Arber's team consists of 25 people (15 makeup artists and 10 hair stylists). "I have trained these people myself. Some of them ar working part-time and some are full-time employees. We can attend up to 100 clients per day. We start our workdays early in the morning and make sure our schedule has absolutely no impact on the quality of services, satisfying all of their needs."
Of course, the coronavirus has had its toll on these numbers. "In the Balkans, the wedding is one of the biggest events in a person's life. But due to the pandemic, a lot of them were postponed," Arber said.

All of them look as if a piece of plastic has been placed on their face. Doesn't the artist (?) know how to follow the natural lip line, they all look to be about the same, ditto with the eyebrows. Most of the cheek bones tend to make the look a bit anorexic

Every woman got the exact same face. He started with uniquely beautiful women and made them all Barbie dolls. The "after" photos are so heavily photoshopped that their skin looks like shiny plastic.
Nearly every comment on these pics is negative. Why can't you just let someone feel pretty on their wedding day? Judging by their smiles, the women are very pleased with the end result. Just because it's not your preferred aesthetic, doesn't mean you have to trash all these women.

This MUA only knows how to do one look. Copy. Paste. And the amount of make-up plastered on their faces is unbelievable: might look good on pictures, but I wonder if it's the same in real life?
A prime example of a disturbing trend where people are not supposed to look like themselves anymore. Of course you want to look your best on your wedding and obviously you might go a bit further then when you would go to the supermarket but apart from personal tastes, most of these ladies do not look like themselves anymore. I find the fact that that seems to be desirable for many people, very disturbing.

I did not upvote any of the pics, even though I skimmed them all. I for one cannot appreciate this level of extreme makeover (especially the nose contouring???). The women do not look at all like their original selves. I understand wanting to look your best on your 'big day' but to completely transform into someone else is too much, really. I do not find the homogenised result beautiful or attractive...
Holy Photoshop, Batman! It looks like the "make-up artist" (I'm going to use that term very lightly here) smothered their faces with foundation and then had a field day with the "Face-tune" and "Gaussian Blur" in a digital editing program. This is just sad-- they don't even look human after their supposed "make-overs." They look like poreless, plastic Androids. It's a shame, because they were so much more beautiful before.
You can tell some tweaking was done to the photo just by looking at their shoulders and clavicle areas. The skin tones are all too similar and look spray-painted on, and even the hair color changed in a couple of these!

It's sad that society pushes natural skin (darker under eyes, inconsistent skin tone) on women as something bad. Being constantly bombarded with images of women looking like dolls just reinforces the opinion that women without makeup look tired or sick or unattractive, it alters perspective on what we should look like

if i were to get married and want to have my make up done professionally i would want the end result to look like me. all of the 'after' looks are basically the same. one or two of them had some kind of resemblance to the 'before' but very little. it almost looked a little cookie cutter to me as they kind of look the same. i would want my husband to be to know it was me. i have had one professionally done portrait and i was so pleased with the make up as it was great but it was my face and not the popular trend of the day. oh, and by the way, i remember the trend of pencil thin brows but these days everyone looks like they have a couple of caterpillers on their foreheads.

after removing the heavy (and bad) photoshop editing, a close look to any of this girls will reveal a nastily caked make up soon breaking down on their skin. i don't see why they should be happy with having their features so blatantly changed. i don't even think most of them need such an invasive make up plastering. i'm a make up enthusiast myself but i would hate it ...of course to each their own.

My stepmother has very thin lips. Every time she gets her makeup done, the makeup artist will try to draw larger lips. My stepmother says nope, I like my mouth just the way it is. The idea that only one kind of lip is beautiful is silly.

It seems weird that you do your wedding makeup and look like someone else. I went with the "I want to look like the person you proposed to" look. I'd be weirded out if the man I was marrying looked different than the person I decided to marry when I was coming down the aisle.

I think it's a lot more damaging to women and soon-to-be women to have the expectation of "beauty" be something that resembles a plastic, unrealistic, robotic Instagram face. Enough, I’m sick of seeing these stunning women’s faces overwritten by a tonne of the same bratz doll makeup, followed by badly done and heavy handed photoshop. This isn’t enhancing what’s there, it’s replacing what’s there. And what is there to start with was beautiful in each and every instance.
if i were to get married and want to have my make up done professionally i would want the end result to look like me. all of the 'after' looks are basically the same. one or two of them had some kind of resemblance to the 'before' but very little. it almost looked a little cookie cutter to me as they kind of look the same. i would want my husband to be to know it was me. i have had one professionally done portrait and i was so pleased with the make up as it was great but it was my face and not the popular trend of the day. oh, and by the way, i remember the trend of pencil thin brows but these days everyone looks like they have a couple of caterpillers on their foreheads.
PHOTOSHOPPED IMAGES - I mean, look at the nose shape, lip fullness, etc. - only so much can be done with brush and powders. So misleading.
Thinking about long term effects, after 6- 7 traes in their marriage, after a couple of kids AND un a crisis, when these women go back to see their wedding pics, what would they think? "Look how beautiful I was looking before all this"(?) Or something like "i should have known that this was not going to work if I needed to be someone else". Either way, I dont see any positive effects on needing to look like someone different on a day that should be important to yourself. I'm all for wanting to look your best on your wedding day - but shouldn't that mean your are still recognizable? Most of the "after" photos not only don't resemble the woman in the "before" shot, but many of them look like drag queens.

after removing the heavy (and bad) photoshop editing, a close look to any of this girls will reveal a nastily caked make up soon breaking down on their skin. i don't see why they should be happy with having their features so blatantly changed. i don't even think most of them need such an invasive make up plastering. i'm a make up enthusiast myself but i would hate it ...of course to each their own.

Changed almost every faces entirely to different person. But c'mon, it's still an improved look which purposefully stylized for specific needs / events. Don't you think the clients already know it anyway? Check the IG page, this guy is quite popular. Means there are market for his style, despite of it doesn't suit your personal taste. Just be happy for them.
I think that if these people want to look this way, then they can! It's their wedding for chrissakes!
