Woman Gets Revenge On A Co-Worker That Bullied Her For Months For Having Breast Implants
The people you work with can turn out to be your very best friends. Or your mortal enemies. Whether due to jealousy or just being plain mean, some people start off by making fun of you but eventually, this turns into bullying and can even lead to outright harassment.
A Reddit user who went by the anonymous name 3240278189 shared the tale about how she got breast implants for medical reasons, and how her horrible colleague Jill made fun of her, harassed her, and tried to get her fired. However, karma is a female dog. The story ended with Jill out of a job, and the Reddit user vindicated with the help of her other co-workers. It just goes to show that there are people out there who will have your back, even if others want to stab you in it.

The Redditer’s story went viral. Within 18 hours of being posted, it got over 56,000 upvotes, 3 Platinum Awards, 7 Gold Awards, and received more than 1,600 comments.
The Reddit user explained that she got breast implants for a very serious reason. She had cancerous cells in her breasts, underwent a bilateral mastectomy procedure, and ended up with two large scars on her torso. The woman completely lost her confidence in herself and barely left her home. The implants helped her feel powerful and attractive again. However, when her co-worker Jill found out that she had them, she started up a barrage of ‘jokes’, and harassment.
Whatever the reason for the implants, there is no justification for harassing your colleagues. If you have some anger and frustration to vent, join a gym, and go hit a punching bag. But Jill wouldn’t let up, and the Reddit user finally snapped, explaining why exactly she has implants. When Jill tried to get the woman fired for raising her voice at her, the Redditer’s other colleagues rallied to her side, supporting her. The story has a happy ending because Jill got fired for being a horrible human being who had mean comments to say about everybody.
Cancer is a very delicate subject, as most everyone would agree. However, there are some people who lack awareness. Today, there are more than 3.1 million breast cancer survivors living in the United States of America, writes Medical News Today.
While survival rates have increased over time, according to the American Cancer Society, there is a 2.6% chance of a woman dying from breast cancer. And around 41,760 women will die from the illness in the United States in 2019. Breast cancer can also affect men in some rare circumstances. Whether or not there is a history of breast cancer in your family, it’s better to be safe than sorry, so talk to a health professional about getting screened and tested.
Even if the breast implants were not due to cancer and was just for cosmetic reasons,, it's none of other people's business. She wanted them, she got them. End of story. Jill is an a**hole. Don't be like Jill.
Exactly! I completely understand why the harassment was even more hurting than if it was for cosmetic reasons but NO MATTER! Her breasts, her business. It's ridiculous. And I must admire the OP because how she dealt with it all is super badass.
Agreed! If you don't like smth about your coworkers (not work related) you are perfectly entitled to think that or even to complain about it to your friends. What you are not allowed to do is open your mouth in the work place.
Even people who get a breast reduction get this type of cr*p. It's their choice, their business! Literally her having boobs has no affect on you (or at least shouldnt have). Go on your merry way, let the women live in peace.
I used to get comments from people that me getting breast reductions were a waste, sacrilidge, people saying others would kill to have breasts and I should be grateful etc. Well they didn’t have to suffer back, shoulder and neck pain, they didn’t have to struggle finding nice comfortable bras (well as comfortable as can be), finding clothes to fit nicely, unable to jog, run, jump etc coz of the pain, the bad posture etc etc. I will never regret my reductions, one of the best things I did.
@Foxxy, I completely understand. I'm 22, my breasts are B-cups, they aren't bad. However, I just visited my niece who is 18 with DD-cups. An 18 year old who is already suffering from back pain. It doesn't have to be just for cosmetics, it's a legit necessity in some cases. I applaud you for going for the reduction and being proud of it. Your comfort is more important than getting other people's approval.
Ugh, my life starting when I developed early, at about 14. The unrelenting unwanted attention. 14 year old boys who do not use their “indoor voices” when making lewd comments in crowded rooms. Same with most grown men, for that matter, only they know even worse things to say. The assumptions people make about your intelligence, about your lifestyle, about their “chances” with you. Interviewing for a job, and having a potential boss look you up and down. Dating men who to this day cannot tell you what color your eyes are. Having so much focus on one “part”, while everything else that makes you a really intelligent, cool, and interesting human being is ignored. Feeling like a freak of nature. Yeah, don’t miss any of that. At. All.
Those are my exact thoughts! And even if Jill had made jokes about it without a bad intention, if OP asked her to stop it was time to stop.
I had a similar situation with someone making snap judgements. My son is autistic, so I can recognize the signs in other children. While sitting in the Social Sec Ofc (at a table with three other adults) they start commenting about a little girl running around, flapping her arms and talking gibberish to herself. "What a lousy parent!" "Let's her do as she pleases." "One good swat on the rear should take care of that." I reply "Actually, it will have the opposite effect since she has autism." They stop "If you want to hear her scream bloody murder for the next hour, then swat her on the rear. But right now, she's not hurting anyone and she's calm. Let's leave it at that." They all got quiet. I got up and got paper and a pencil for the little girl to draw with. She stayed in one place and her father said thank you. The people at the table looked like they were the ones in timeout.
yup. Was going to say the same thing.
The title of this post says 'Woman Gets Revenge..." This was not revenge. This was a woman exercising her right to be treated with respect and dignity.
That’s what I thought too. I guess we associate revenge with being unnecessary. This was very necessary.
And the OP wasn't planning on doing anything until Jill reported her to HR. I call it Karma. Jill totally deserved it.
Nasty and unnecessary. I don't understand people like Jill.
None of us do.
