Woman Gets Revenge On A Co-Worker That Bullied Her For Months For Having Breast Implants
The people you work with can turn out to be your very best friends. Or your mortal enemies. Whether due to jealousy or just being plain mean, some people start off by making fun of you but eventually, this turns into bullying and can even lead to outright harassment.
A Reddit user who went by the anonymous name 3240278189 shared the tale about how she got breast implants for medical reasons, and how her horrible colleague Jill made fun of her, harassed her, and tried to get her fired. However, karma is a female dog. The story ended with Jill out of a job, and the Reddit user vindicated with the help of her other co-workers. It just goes to show that there are people out there who will have your back, even if others want to stab you in it.

The Redditer’s story went viral. Within 18 hours of being posted, it got over 56,000 upvotes, 3 Platinum Awards, 7 Gold Awards, and received more than 1,600 comments.
The Reddit user explained that she got breast implants for a very serious reason. She had cancerous cells in her breasts, underwent a bilateral mastectomy procedure, and ended up with two large scars on her torso. The woman completely lost her confidence in herself and barely left her home. The implants helped her feel powerful and attractive again. However, when her co-worker Jill found out that she had them, she started up a barrage of ‘jokes’, and harassment.
Whatever the reason for the implants, there is no justification for harassing your colleagues. If you have some anger and frustration to vent, join a gym, and go hit a punching bag. But Jill wouldn’t let up, and the Reddit user finally snapped, explaining why exactly she has implants. When Jill tried to get the woman fired for raising her voice at her, the Redditer’s other colleagues rallied to her side, supporting her. The story has a happy ending because Jill got fired for being a horrible human being who had mean comments to say about everybody.
Cancer is a very delicate subject, as most everyone would agree. However, there are some people who lack awareness. Today, there are more than 3.1 million breast cancer survivors living in the United States of America, writes Medical News Today.
While survival rates have increased over time, according to the American Cancer Society, there is a 2.6% chance of a woman dying from breast cancer. And around 41,760 women will die from the illness in the United States in 2019. Breast cancer can also affect men in some rare circumstances. Whether or not there is a history of breast cancer in your family, it’s better to be safe than sorry, so talk to a health professional about getting screened and tested.
Internet users were impressed with how the woman handled the situation
Even if the breast implants were not due to cancer and was just for cosmetic reasons,, it's none of other people's business. She wanted them, she got them. End of story. Jill is an a**hole. Don't be like Jill.
Exactly! I completely understand why the harassment was even more hurting than if it was for cosmetic reasons but NO MATTER! Her breasts, her business. It's ridiculous. And I must admire the OP because how she dealt with it all is super badass.
Load More Replies...The title of this post says 'Woman Gets Revenge..." This was not revenge. This was a woman exercising her right to be treated with respect and dignity.
That’s what I thought too. I guess we associate revenge with being unnecessary. This was very necessary.
Load More Replies...I was silently hoping Debbie would also get sucked into the sack vortex.
Jill and Debbie are clearly on here downvoting anyone who roots for OP.
Load More Replies...If you have a problem with a coworker (or even a supervisor) it is always best to document it. I had a problem with a supervisor once, who wouldn't let me do my job and finally usurped the authority I had on a particular incident. I had documented all the negative interactions I had had with them as they occurred with dates over the months. When I had enough, I went to his supervisor and related my notes and the issues. As his supervisor knew, that I know my job, my supervisor was given a talking to. I assume he got taken down a peg as he let me do my job from then on. ALWAYS document incidents and if you are a good worker and don't have a bad rep, it will help you resolve any dispute. And always put everything in email when possible.
We went through this with our Head Chef a few years ago. Six months of notes and documentation. We knew it was going to be tricky, because if it was handled wrong, she could sue the c**p out of us. She was Latina/Native American/Gay, and a woman. Some skeezy lawyer would have been all over that if we didn't have good reason to fire her, but she needed to go. It was a very unhappy kitchen. Ultimately the final straw was when she freaked out on one of our front of house managers and used the "N" word. I ran into her a couple years ago and she seems to have turned her life around and is much happier. She divorced her wife (apparently the relationship was fairly toxic), lost about 80lbs, and started seeing a personal trainer. Apparently her termination provided the motivation to start working on herself.
Sadly, "Jill" will probably go on in life putting all the fault on the OP, and consider her own actions and comments completely blameless...
She can spin it however she wants. One quick call to this former employer—-especially if her partner in crime Debbie got shitcanned for it too—-and the truth will come out. Hope Jill likes her new job working the deep fryer, next to Debbie cleaning the soft serve machine.

Load More Replies...It's truly unfair how quick people are to assume things about others because of their appearance. Big boobs? Oh she must be easy. Small boobs? Must be a prude. (I'm sure guys have their own form of these issues.) If we don't want men treating us like this, why do we let women do it? It's not ok when anyone does it.
This isn't revenge. This is someone harassing a coworker and getting the consecuenses. This is how it should play out, even without the OPs extensive documenting. Tough tittie for Jill, jævla drittmenneske.
When OP is being interviewed by the HR personnel, in her last answer, she describes the situation as "sexual harassment". That caused me to pause because my initial assessment wasn't one of sexual harassment but general harassment. So, on the one hand, the harassment is dealing with OP's breasts, which, in most Western societies, are considered sexual in nature (or at least there's a sexual aspect). On the other hand, it doesn't appear (to me) that Jill's comment were sexual in nature. I really don't know what the answer is. Wondered if anyone else had any input?
Well if you did it, it would automatically be listed as sexual harrassment.....so it's fair
Load More Replies...I think the worst thing about that story is that that b***h will never change. She took no responsibility for her actions and said the girl she was harassing got her fired. No, she got herself fired and she'll never understand that. People like this are a drag on society and should be put on the next rocket to the sun.
Jesus Christ the trolls are awful today - today's forecast: a downpour of unexplained and unneeded downvotes!
I love it! She was constantly harassing you and trying to get you fired when you stood up for yourself and it ended up biting her in the butt!
Sometimes documentation isn't enough. There are some crafty Jill's out there. Our boss was the Jill. This one was pretty terrible to people in general and a walking PR nightmare. They checked themselves into therapy before HR could fire them (after successfully abusing our vacation policies and not coming to work when they knew higher management wasn't around) , thus protecting themselves with Americans with Disabilities Act. Basically anything we documented was ignored at that point because it could be construed as discrimination (they threated a harassment suits for other events they had caused before). As luck would have it, it seemed like they had been writing resignation letters for a while and never actually hit send, until their finger slipped one day. They immediately regretted it asked to take that resignation back, but the company put on a face of "We are so happy for you, we understand it's time to move on!" Dodged a huge bullet.
Did anyone else think the worst part of this whole episode is that to the end, Jill thinks she's in the right and the OP is in the wrong? Jill will never understand she is a total (insert insult of choice) and fully deserved what she got. Good luck to the OP and I hope she has a smooth ride in future.
Brilliant! My wife died from that s**t, not giving her a chance, so i know very well first-hand where you are coming from, and I would have supported you all the way, to the cost of my own job if need be... Nobody deserves that kind of sh*t... You getting a "boob job" to get your confidence and self-respect back, i fully understand your position, and would just say - good on you, and offer a friendly hug as a welcome to your future, should you accept it. In the end - well done for standing up to a bully. They need punished, no matter what. Nobody deserves bullies...
Regardless of the reason for your implants, it's NO ONE'S business. Glad that you did everything right--I'm a big fan of DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT! glad it worked in your favor, but you still never should have had to deal with someone like Jill!
I loved this! She did everything exactly the way she was supposed to do it. She documented the harassment, got corroboration from her co-workers, and came prepared, and emotionally ready. I went through something similar at my own job a few years ago. I had an issue with a supervisor who had a problem with a coworker of mine, and since she and I were close friends, he thought he could bully me too by association. We are also both black and he was white, so there was a racial element as well. She was in my jobs union, and I was not, but we documented the events, and I appended my letter to hers, when she filed a complaint against him. He resigned when he was confronted with the complaint and I never had the go in and testify at all. It’s hard to pinpoint sexual harassment that looks like this, where the person is being harassed because of their gender (as Jill would not have done this had this been a man), but the harassment isn’t specifically sexual.
Im sorry because I know this is off topic but what does it mean to have 3 platinum and 7 gold awards??
Another case of a woman bringing down another woman when they already have men to worry about. It's so cliche that it's not cliche anymore, but cant we all just get along? Seriously. It's one thing to draw down on someone who's a racist or bigot or sexist, but over cosmetic surgery that happens all the time for a number of different reasons? what a pos people like that are.
Women who bully other women are the worst; we need to support and respect each other.
Load More Replies...What’s her name got what she deserved, but I don’t think she will ever learn her lesson. Some people are so self entitled and empathy free, it borders on sociopathy. Isn’t that borderline personality disorder? Anyway, she will do it again, but might be smarter about her harassment. Maybe next time, she will make friends with all of HR and gaslight the whole company to her way of thinking. She might even become president of something one day. Hey, failing up works for some people!
Even if she went for cosmetic surgery because she just wanted bigger boobs, it would be completely fine. It's not a sign of shallowness. You can be really invested in your physical appearance and still have diverse interests. It's not like our cognitive capacity is so limited that we can't have more than one points of focus.
The only thing that trumps this is when you get a person from HR to be in the right place at the right time to hear the abuser first hand. There's usually no need for a lengthy investigation in that situation. Less than thirty minutes in HR and they're gone. Helps if you give HR a heads up about the problem.
Great story, thanks. These disgusting people need to be pulled up and shown to the world to be diguating people or they don't stop. It must've been hard and frightening, but i commend you for sticking with it.
Wow! I could not stop reading this it really sucked me in. I'm sorry you had to go through so much, and I am so happy Jill got canned. From the sounds of her attitude at the end she did not learn her lesson and is probably someone else's bane atm.
One missing piece of information: what happened to “I can be impartial” Debbie from HR? Would love to know about the boiling tub of s**t she found herself in—-and hope she was also fired, for scheming with her buddy Jill to get this poor girl fired over nothing. (If not, I hope Debbie got a quick transfer to a galaxy far far away, so she couldn’t haunt her administratively.)
People can be so mean to one another... especially women, in my opinion. As a woman, who's dealt with other women, over several years and jobs- you can be picked on for having a boyfriend, for being single, for being too thin/fat/curvy/flat, etc. I've been disliked for having a small waist and small breasts, and disliked for having a big tush. (Pear-shaped body, go figure.) Most of these comments come from older supposedly more mature women, who should know better. (But of course, insecure jerks come in all ages and sizes.) I really feel for this woman, I don't think I could have handled it better. I will never understand why women past their teens believe they're still in highschool, we are grown up professionals and there are issues far more important than how someone else looks.
She was sexually harassing the OP and creating a hostile work environment. Those are things that get people fired all the time. Would you say the same thing if "Jill" was a man constantly harping on your tits?
