Social media envy if you're among the 81% of young adults (18-24) that use Instagram daily you've definitely felt it. The constant stream of glossy perfectly posed candids of girls sitting among a field of flowers is enough to make anyone green, but how do they make such beautiful photos? The answer - a personal photographer.
Yes, Instagram influencers across the platform have been relying on their boyfriends' as their personal photographers to achieve the perfect Instagram photo. But once hidden behind a lense these men no longer live in the shadows, thanks to the Instagram and Facebook accounts “Boyfriends of Instagram." The pages post photos people have shared of Instagram boyfriends going to some pretty impressive lengths to photograph their girlfriends. From sitting on each other's shoulders to literally bending over backward, no shot is too much of a challenge. Created by two anonymous Australian men, the Instagram account has wracked up 137k followers. Scroll down below to see some of these hilarious photography poses and behind the scenes shots! This just makes me sad for what's happening to society.
Nothing is happening, humans have always being obsessed by their own image, cavemen used to depict their hands and successful hunts on their caves walls, we only have better tools now.
You really don't see a difference between cavemen documenting their lives on a wall and the desperate need for validation that is the norm in society today???

cave art probably had a different purpose, spiritual and ceremonial.. it had little to do with being obsessed with their own image as there were also many abstract paintings such as dots

Can you guys just chill? It's photos. And some guys love photography or doing nice things for their partner and so don't need go be 'brow beated' into submission to take photos.

I would bet money that most, if not all of those "boyfriends" are not even with those girls. I would also bet most of those photos end up on their bumble profiles.
People just have different ways of experiencing life. Some likes to look at the sunset, some likes to photograph the sunset. They will remember the moment very differently but none are wrong.
You know who else said that? Plato, when he was complaining about how self obsessed the youth were. Every new generation focuses on themselves because they have to build a life, find a partner, find employment, etc. The older generation is focused on the family unit, kids, the house, the community their kids a living in, etc. Then you go back to being self obsessed as you focus on retirement, your health, funeral arrangements, etc. but you also think about your legacy and your impact on society so you might donate or become active in your community in-order to leave behind an impact. Humans are simple and still the same.
