Boyfriend Shaves Girlfriend’s Head Due To Alopecia Only To Shave His Own Immediately

Recently, this heartwarming act of love left many reaching for tissues. Originally shared on TikTok, the viral video shows a caring boyfriend shaving his head after first shaving that of his girlfriend, Eva Bari. Eva is a French law student from Monaco who has alopecia, a condition that causes bald patches and severe hair loss. After periods of hair growth, Eva regularly shaves her head, but this time was a bit different.

This viral TikTok video left many people in tears

During the most recent shaving session, Eva asked her boyfriend to help and filmed the process to share on TikTok. “After months growing my hair for the first time in 10 years, I had to ask my boyfriend to shave my head again… [the] first time was my granddad,” she commented below the TikTok. The video shows Eva sitting down as her boyfriend carefully buzzes off her strands of hair, taking time to do it thoroughly. From time to time, Eva appears to be sad and sometimes distraught, but nonetheless brave and stoic.

But it was the emotional ending of the video that left people in tears. After shaving down Eva’s head, her boyfriend takes the clippers to shave his own strands. After seeing her boyfriend shaving, the student breaks down into tears and the footage ends with the pair kissing and hugging.

That's very sweet of this boyfriend to do something like that. My mom's hair was thinning really bad and she had a bald spot on the back of her head, so she shaved all her hair off. My aunt and sister cut their hair shorter in solidarity. I think that they all look beautiful with shorter hair. Also I wish people would stop all of this hateful judgment that we see on Bored Panda all the time.

I have alopecia for a few years too and my husband shaved my head for the first time. He never once told me that he doesn't want a bald wife or anything like that. In fact he was actually turned on haha.

I'm very glad to hear about Locks of Love. My daughter and I have both donated several times in the past. No more.

Beautiful woman. Beautiful couple. Love that there was not a moment of hesitation for the boyfriend. What a wonderful act of sacrifice and love. Having hair is much more important to most women than men and seeing his empathy is so sweet.

That woman is just as gorgeous without her hair. The boyfriend joining her is what loving another person is all about.

Our hair is such a big part of our identity. I shaved mine for my Mum when she went through chemo and I cried, I regretted it even though I knew mine would grow back.

Awww this made me smile. I have alopecia and have been shaving my head, too. I don’t bleach it anymore to hide my balding pattern and instead decided I’ll just let the world see my head 🤷🏽‍♀️ And my husband thinks I’m beautiful no matter what 😊

Important: Alopecia is often a victim-caused condition: wearing too-tight braids, cornrows and buns is literally tearing your hair out. Also--the headline is poorly written. The "only to" construction correctly indicates surprise, accident, revelation, and such, not mere subsequence. For example, it would be find in a head concluding "Only to Expose a Space Alien QR Code Tatttooed on Her Scalp ." (That would make a great post, so fess up, Pandas--I'm sure there are lots of you out there.) A better ending for the head of this post would be "Then Shaves His Own Head to Match." As for the question whether bald can be beautiful for women, you'll get a hint if you google Persis Khambatta, who played Lieutenant Ilia in 1979's "Star Trek: The Motion Picture."

It says she has alopecia. Yet she had hair to shave, eyebrows, eyelashes........in other words, she most definitely does not have alopecia.

For what I know alopecia can be local and starts with small spots growing bigger. Maybe she was just in the begin stage? I think its odd for you to deny she has it, you dont know her!
