This sweet little 5-year-old boy is Ty, and he’s from Oklahoma City. It was his dad Austin’s birthday recently, so Ty and his mom got together to make the perfect gift for a Calvin & Hobbes fan like Austin, this super cute photoshoot!

“The photos were my wife’s idea,” Austin told Bored Panda. “However, she showed Ty the original Calvin & Hobbes print gauging his interest of the proposed project. He found it hilarious and emphatically wanted to try to mimic each photo.”

As you can see for yourself, he did a great job! The boy is a natural actor, and the way he found out about his newfound internet fame is a funny story in itself. “He was pouting because my wife and I were apparently paying more attention to something his funny 2 year old brother was doing than what he was doing,” Austin told us. “He dramatically exclaimed “no one thinks I’m funny!” It was fun to tell him that at least 40k people do!”

Ty is taking after his father and becoming a huge Calvin fan, although he is still a little young to fully understand the humor. Austin started quite young himself. “I can distinctly remember reading these comics from a pretty young age and always found myself resonating with Calvin,” he told Bored Panda. “This gift from my wife and Ty included the photo posted and a complete set of all Calvin & Hobbes comics. It was a perfect gift!”
