Donald Trump has once again sparked major controversy with one of his political moves. Shocker? Not really. And as per usual, there's pretty much nothing fun about the situation. What's actually fun is how our beloved interweb surfers never seem to miss an opportunity to start a new viral challenge. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Here's a little backstory for you. On June 1st, peaceful George Floyd protesters were removed from outside of the White House by military forces. Right after that, Donald Trump, surrounded by a dozen security personnel, went up to St. John's Episcopal Church and then walked out of the church with a Bible in his hands. You've probably already seen THE photo. And if you haven't, here it is.

After seeing this photo, many people realized that he was holding the Bible upside down. And it gets even more ridiculous. According to the bishop of the church, the only time Trump has been at St. John's Church as president was on the morning of his inauguration...

This photo and the whole situation inspired internauts to start a new challenge and call it the #POTUSChallenge. Basically, the point of this challenge is to take a picture of yourself in front of a place you never go to while holding a book you've never read. Do you see what they did here? The original creator of the challenge is a guy named Levi Hambrick, who posted the first-ever #POTUSChallenge photo on June 2nd. Bored Panda had a chance to ask the creator of this challenge some interesting questions—you should definitely scroll down for the full interview.

Internet users seem to be super stoked about this new meme—The POTUS Challenge community on Reddit currently has almost 10 thousand members and is constantly growing! And we're totally not surprised—this is the kind of light-hearted content we all could use right now.

"The whole thing started on Facebook, then got reposted to Reddit, where it was copied to Twitter and found by Occupy Democrats (even though I don’t consider myself a Democrat by any means), and the challenge blew up from there," says Levi Hambrick, the creator of the challenge.

The creator of the #POTUSChallenge says that he's constantly coming up with clever posts and status updates as they come to him, but it's usually just for his friends and people who know him personally. "I had no idea this would strike a chord with so many people and go as viral as it has! It’s been quite a ride watching it gain traction, jumping from one social media platform to the next, from Facebook to Reddit to Twitter, and even TikTok now," Levi Hambrick says.

When asked why, in his opinion, the #POTUSChallenge is so appealing to millions of people, the creator of the challenge said this: "People have this amazing ability to tell whether someone is being genuine or not. I think most people realize that President Donald Trump doesn’t wake up every morning and devoutly read his Bible, so to see him use it as a prop for his own personal gain I think rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. For me, the #POTUSchallenge is just a fun way to point out that hypocrisy by taking a photo of yourself holding a book you haven’t read in front of a building you’ve never been to."

Levi Hambrick feels super excited to see other people participating in the challenge. "I love seeing people post new photos for the challenge! I’ve been reposting several of them myself because I’ve seen so many creative ones so far that have made me laugh. Keep ‘em coming!" he says.

I find this one give me hope. Obviously, this is a white guy, but due to his physical appearance, I doubt anyone would call him a "libtard". This is the kind of person that we need to turn their back on President Trump.
