Guy Reveals His Incredible 12-Week Body Transformation, And The Result May Surprise You

Need a little inspiration in getting rid of that extra layer of winter ‘insulation?’ It can be tough, after dark months of relative inactivity, to get back into fighting shape. Hunter Hobbs of Norman, Oklahoma, took the plunge with a 12-week healthy diet and workout plan and showed astonishing results in a time-lapse video.

Taking a photo each day, Hunter created the 55-second-long video to show what body transformation can be achieved with some good old fashioned exercise and strict diet. Mixing weightlifting with small cardio sessions, a simple fitness plan that he increased in intensity as the 12 weeks came to a close. He has no groundbreaking scientific methods for weight loss and muscle gain and had to work his routine around a 9-5 desk job.

Diet was the hardest and most important element, Hunter believes. He quickly got into a rather bland-sounding routine of chicken, sweet potatoes, oatmeal, salads, almonds, and whey protein shakes, foregoing much in the way of social life in the process. “I cooked all of my meals, brought my lunch to work every day and rarely ate out,” Hunter told the Daily Mail. “I initially tracked all that I was eating to get a better idea of how many calories, protein, carbs, and fats I was taking in and then just stuck to the same stuff, so I knew what I was eating.”

“After about three weeks when I started seeing some real changes and my body adjusted to my diet and workouts, I felt better each week,” he added. ‘It was still a struggle and had to push myself harder to reach my body goals each week, but seeing progress kept me going. I feel a million times better now than I did at the beginning, so much more energy, confidence, and motivation.”

Now the challenge is over, Hunter plans to return to a more balanced lifestyle while keeping hold of the good habits that he picked up during his experiment. This is probably the most valuable lesson of the entire episode, as it can be easy to get caught up in a cycle of crash diets followed by bingeing. “This transformation was meant to be extreme and not something to sustain long term,” he explained. “I will still go to the gym five to six times a week, eat clean and stay consistent, but won’t worry as much if I eat out or have a few drinks with friends.”

Scroll down below to check out Hunter’s incredible progress for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments. Would you try something like this? Have you got any health and fitness tips of your own? Join the discussion!

Congrats on the weight loss, but as with other "body transformation" videos, this post is highly misleading. This was clearly an extremely fit person who gained weight and then rapidly cut it in order to make a compelling time-lapse. His level of muscle mass would have taken years of dedicated training, not three months. In fact, given the caloric deficit that would be required to burn that much fat in such a short period of time, it's likely that he shed muscle over those 12 weeks rather than gained it.

In addition, this guy was already muscular so if you have more muscle you will burn more calories, even at rest

This is neat an all, but also quite misleading. He is deliberately pushing his stomach/abdomen out in the first few photos and adding an exaggerated arch to the lower back to further push it out. He is the actively tensing/flexing in the last photos and has corrected the arched posture. He was already muscular from the start and while some fatloss occurred it's not a "transformation" so much so is a par for the course cut from a bulk. Bravo for the hard work, boo for the misleading portrayal.

Exactly! I can look preg at night and have my abs back in the AM. Have u seen the videos of ppl that to a "transformation" video only 12 hrs apart? If ur fit in general these can look much more amazing than they are

Well, everyone else is saying it, so I might as well too.. Just looking at his traps, it obvious he's got big muscles under the fat.

Hard work is hard work. Even if he had muscle before the 'before' photo, it is still because he spent the time to build it. Well done!

Looks fabulous, great payoff from hard work. Perhaps consider laying off the orange self-tanning, that really began to go wrong at about day 67.....

Great post to keep us motivated :) However, it's a bit mislead as the guy have been quite muscular from Day 1. Look at his shoulders, you don't get that without some sort of exercising.

What most don't notice is that most of his physique or muscle mass was already there. His transformation though commanding, was of burning of excess fat mostly.

Perhaps the photos were posed for some exaggeration, but the overall change is undeniable. This took discipline and the guy deserves kudos for it. IF he wants to show off a bit, well... He's got the body for it.

The problem is it misleads people in what is possible and when they fail will only serve to make themselves feel worse about themselves, just so he can feel better about himself.
