Blindfolded Strangers Kiss In Social Experiment Exploring Love At First Kiss
In a thrilling social experiment, Jordan Oram, a cinematographer in Toronto, asked 8 blindfolded strangers to kiss each other after a brief introduction. The sparks really fly in the video he filmed of their sweet and awkward interactions before they take “the plunge.”
Experiments similar to this one, which had brought strangers together to share a kiss, had been done before. However, as Oram explains in his video, “there had been nothing that really showed the reason why people were kissing… The reason behind the kiss: what if you meet the person you fell in love with from the first kiss? What if it was like your first kiss? What if you met someone, you kissed them, and then you introduced yourself? And then you built chemistry from that.”
Some of the exchanges in the video might make you cringe, while others are absolutely electric! Let us know what you thought in the comments.
Jordan Oram’s experiment united 8 blindfolded strangers
It all started with some awkward small talk…
…but then things got a bit friendlier…
…and THEN the sparks REALLY flew!
The creator’s aim was to explore the possibility of people falling in love from their first kiss before being introduced to each other

Share on FacebookThe most interesting aspect is that they will get so passionate about their kissing while they can't see each other but when they finally do, they become so reserved again. This indicates that we learn to distance ourselves from people that we meet but we wouldn't have the same inhibitions if we couldn't see them. Very odd and I don't know why that is. Any ideas?
i don't know why, but this reminds me of how uninhibited people get on social media, especially when hidden behind a nickname... also, while they cannot see each other their imagination can run wild, but then once they remove the blindfold, they probably don't find what they expected... then getting to know the actual person in order to justify the chemistry might become crucial ! :D
Load More Replies...Very interesting. What was the end result of some of the 'first' kisses?
Damn ... I hate it when invisible people cut invisible onions around me ... so annoying
It could be she was previously engaged and something happened...like her fiance died and she just isn't ready to take it off yet. She could also just be wearing a random ring on that finger. I used to do that.
Load More Replies...Fantastic idea. I also would like to know what happened after. Did any of them try to pursue anything further?
i think those people should stay Blindfolded for couple more minutes after the kiss because the moment when they get off the scarf, the magic moment dissapeares. But love the idea! Very touching....till they see each other (it makes me sad)
So is there a follow up to this story? Hopefully the people selected were from the same city/areas, so just in case there was a spark, they could pursue it! I had the hugest spark with a guy, who was not someone I'd normally be attracted to...(tho I don't really have a type) But he was NOT like any others, in build, looks or sort of even, personality. Ultimately, it didn't pan out, but the knowledge that attraction can come from unexpected places has given me hope for the future lol. My hope is that, for these people, if there WAS a spark, maybe at least one pair had other common factors as well and went with it and made it work! Cute experiment!
In a way this proves that looks matter to us the most. Our eyes "fall in love" first, we wouldn't want to kiss someone we don't find pleasing look-wise. It is harsh, but that's the truth.
I don't understand stand why it's harsh. Our creator whatever you call it, God, has created a variety for a reason. Reason being is because everyone has different desires. Theres an abundance of beauty in the world look all around you, just not with people. I don't feel guilty for being attracted to someone for the way they look. Its my desire and god created sight to admire. If people are going to walk around feeling bad for being attracted to someone for the way they look we should just be blind then.
Load More Replies...I like the idea but they should also try this and have a very short man standing on a step with a tall woman or other way around to also show taste and preference does not really matter.. also to screw with peoples perception when blindfolded about that person.
