“Blind” Stray Cat Surprises Rescuer After Revealing Incredible Beauty Of His Eyes

Meet Cotton the cat who was found blind in the outdoors, got rescued, and then one day, when he opened his eyes, surprised everyone around him. “Little by little he started to gain weight. It was a nice surprise to see that he had one blue eye and one yellow eye. His hair started to grow again,” Carmen Weinberg, founder of Animal Friends Project, told Love Meow about Cotton’s incredible transformation.

The kitty was found wandering the streets in Royal Palm Beach, FL. The man who spotted the cat said that “Cotton came out of nowhere” and started eating from the bowl of food he had for his cat. He said Cotton seemed “very hungry, like if he had not eaten in days.”

The guy shared a post on Facebook, asking for someone to help the cat, when Weinberg reached out. “Early the next morning, I drove to pick him up. I took him immediately to my vet… and they confirmed that he was suffering from mange.”

The mange disease was exactly why the kitty couldn’t open his eyes, but Weinberg was set to do everything to make the feline recover – and now Cotton is one healthy and gorgeous cat! Meanwhile, Weinberg is on a mission to find this sweet cat who ‘likes to be wherever you are’ a loving forever home.

Are humans like this too? So ugly-looking, broken, shriveled, but with kindness, treatment, and loving care we might all open our eyes one day, gaze about in wonder, and reveal our own beauty? Here's a big shout-out to all the carers in this world, all those who can see the good souls within the 'mange'.

My cat has two different coloured eyes and so do I. How wonderful this gorgeous kitten was given a second chance and one lucky person will get to share his love as he lives his days in a happy and well cared for home. Beautiful story.

I think this kind of cat can be worth upwards of 10000 bucks. I have one like him (with only one ear due to skin cancer though). I remember seeing that somewhere people.were paying a lot of money for kitties like him.

maybe taking the kitty in, and finding hi, someone who could afford to help, was all he was in a position to do. I have done the same. I am not in a position to pay for vet bills, but I can keep them safe, warm and fed til I can find a rescue or someone who can help!

This is the most SAD and at the same time heart warming story I've read in a long time. Does Cotton have a LOVING home yet????? I Volunteer at our local NO KILL Animal shelter in Southern Mn, and I'd love to give Cotton a Loving FUR EVER LOVING HOME.. I have 6 cat's and All but (2) of them are adopted from our shelter 2 are blind that I'm permanently fostering. I guess you can say they ARE MINE. I provide everything but the shelter pays for their medical needs. Please let me know if I can adopt him. Thank you Toni (aka) "Sassy momma cat"

This cat appears to be a "Van" cat, a breed exclusively from the Van area in Eastern Turkey. They are indeed striking and beautiful cats, notable for their lovely pure white coats and different coloured eyes. I hope he finds a loving forever home soon.
