Often, I intuitively know something but realize it only after someone says it out loud. If it's a movie insight, then there's no big deal. But if we're talking about an important life lesson, I sure as heck would've liked figuring it out by myself earlier rather than later.

So when I saw this post on r/AskReddit by u/PeakABoo_IFKU, I knew I was in for a treat. The Redditor asked: "What is the best advice you can give someone?" And after scrolling through some 2,000 comments, I think you'd like to see the best ones as well. From taking care of your body to working on your mind, continue scrolling and check them out!

Actually, I remember both the embarassing things that I did and that others did...realizing that everybody is continuously doing mildly stupid things is freeing as suggested above, though. Moreover, I guess we tend to overrate the "level" of embarassment of stupid things, i.e. the same mishap we would find more embarassing when happening to ourself to when we observe it from others.

Florence, don't listen to Mewton. They really only leave crappy comments on here. They make nasty comments directed at people. Must be a lonely, miserable a$$hole. Not cool at all. Don't let a total stranger get to you. There are more lovely total strangers who care. I hope things get better soon. Having been there, for a really long time, I can tell you it will definitely get better. It just may take time and a lot of effort. XOXO

Politics should not be involved. But it is still a person's choice to get the vax. I almost wish i didnt get the vax just to fight for my human rights. I already had covid and dont really care if i get it again.

Yes they are now FDA approved. Just like the vaccines that people got for smallpox, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, chicken pox, shingles, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, pneumonia, and influenza. Do you know anybody who died of smallpox? Do you know anybody who currently lives in an iron lung? If the answer is no that's because of vaccines. Did you know that the concept of vaccination has been around for over 225 years? Diseases have only one question for you: are you a human being? Politics have nothing to do with it. And if you choose not to get vaccinate,d then kindly isolate your body from the rest of us so that you don't make innocent people sick.

i do find it a little disappointing that a lot of people don't want to get it, and make up such odd excuses. "but what if it kills me like that one guy on the news the other day-" car crashes have a higher mortality rate! carbon monoxide poisoning has a likelier chance! getting covid is more likely to kill you! it's not fair on those who are dying from something you could have helped prevent because of a small percent of special cases. if you're worried about spreading it despite the vaccine, or feel like it wont work anyways, stay home + quarantine or go move out to the middle of nowhere and take a year of solitude. might be good for the mind.

I am allergic to everything and the idea of taking a vaccine that is known to kill people is not on my list of things to do. I'm allergic to fillers in medicine and time release. I'm allergic to all pain medications and anesthesia. I'm allergic to mushrooms and milk. I can't in my non-suicidal mind go get something that I Leary of.. Wow!!! The haters- anti-vaxxers! I must say I was skeptical about the vaccine and didnt not get it at first but once I did my research- and I mean really researched- did I change my mind. I am now proudly vaccinated and have no regrets. People think it was produced to quickly, false, they have been working on it for years. People say they are implanting microchips, false. That's illegal. And so much more. Most who refuse the vaccine are and have had their children vaccinated against every other disease but nit this one. What is the difference? Sooooooo, before you spew hate and allow your ignorance to shine, please at least do your homework. Research the vaccine. The positive effects out weigh the negative astronomically. All vaccines have side effects just as the medications that you put into your body daily without hesitation.

Well you know what?!? You don’t know what the long term effects of COVID are either! But I do know that one has killed and put more people in the hospital and I know some people are just stupid.

Well see what happens but if its get shut down then all of you people have to respect our rights and stfu. I got vaxed and had covid. It sucked but i dont really care if i get it again. You had COVID and you're still alive. And if I understand well you had a very mild disease, thanks to the vax. That's the first aim of the vaccination. Not getting COVID at all is just a bonus.

Big issue : it's possible there are studies out there that the vaccine , while does it's job , also affects the human immune system negatively. However if we will choose not to roll with the vaccine , there will be a huge strain on the medical field. This will affect how we cope for future pandemics negatively as more people are not willing to work as a nurse for a low paying , high demand job. Rather than focusing on ourselves , if we look at the bigger picture , aka the ones who helpped save lives , we realize the more we about the vaccine, the more stress it press on and the weaker the medical field is able to save lives

"also affects the human immune system negatively" - No, it doesn't. The role of a vaccine is literally to create anti-bodies to strengthen your immune system. That is the whole point. Your internet degree in immunology is worthless.

Hey guys, first time poster here. Has anyone else experienced personality changes among people who have been vaccinated? I have noticed several friends become much more hostile and aggressive. One of them stopped writing because "he doesn't feel it anymore." This is very concerning to me because I am also a writer and it is a big part of my life. Has anyone here experienced a lack of motivation or inspiration in pursuing their interests after receiving the full vaccine? I know this is the internet, but thank you in advance for any sincere responses.

Go ahead and get your vaccine so you can still wear your mask forever and live in fear. Have fun virtue signaling when you don't even seem to believe in your own vaccine enough to take your mask off. You all have no place telling unvaccinated people what they should do. If your vaccine works, then you shouldn't be concerned about everyone else. It is very much our choice what we put into our bodies, and you're communist if you say otherwise! If you don't like freedom move out of this country!

One of the main reasons we need widespread vaccination is because the longer it spreads unchecked through populations, the more chance it has to mutate. We could get this under control, but until we do it will continue to mutate and become harder to combat. And by the way, MY mask is there to protect YOU.

I don't mind people telling me how they're not ok, it can be therapeutic for them to share what they're feeling. Sometimes all someone needs is some compassion to realize that it's ok to not be ok. But when they're always talking about their problems, aren't helped by a compassionate listener, and never do any thing to address their problems, then I feel that type of "not ok" is not ok—for them or for me.

I strongly reject this one. There might be some truth for countries like the US where tuition will cost a fortune, but in general, I strongly believe that lifelong learning is essential, that it is *always* the right time to try out learning something new, and that *any time* in life is the right time to find out what you want to do; taking up studies may well be part of this process, regardless of whether you retain these or soon give them up again.

30 People Share One Thing They Wish They Had Known Earlier In Their Lives Don't stay up late doing something that you would not wake up early for.

Meditate. Try. Every morning. It has freed me from some of the dark side effects of my mental illness.

Also, establish a great morning routine and night routine and stick to it. Practice gratitude every day.

Let go of resentment and hatred you have for others. No matter what they’ve done. Forgive. Forgive. Forgive. Forgive does not mean you tolerate what they’ve done or that what they did was okay- but it is meant to free YOU. So you can move forward and reclaim the power you feel you’ve lost. You can be compassionately wrathful and stand up for what’s right without hate in your heart. Hate only hurts you in the end.

Ie. My brother was murdered- but I have never hated the man that killed him. I don’t have to live with that resentment in my life

As in get regular physicals and preventative care, address small problems before they potentially turn into bigger problems at the same time as you lose your insurance. Sneaking suspicion that you might be pre-diabetic, or have the family high blood pressure? Get it checked out. Small painful lump, or mole that's looking different than it used to? Don't ignore it.
