It might have never occurred to you, but you are an actual time traveler with the tiniest (according to my research on time hopping devices) gadget allowing you to embark on daily time journeys stuffed right in your pocket. Nonsense, you might say, but think of it this way - the closest way to time travel is opening the picture gallery on your smartphone and scrolling through a myriad of images that you've taken over the years. For example, see that cute photo of your dog when he was little? Or maybe a picture of the place that you used to visit? Or how about that selfie from years ago? Now, look at those places and faces today. Truly, these before and after pictures are essentially a tiny journey through time that allows you to see how things used to be and how they are now!

Since it's fun to see other people's experiences with this kind of traveling (or any old thing), we've constructed a fun list full of interesting before and after photos, covering a broad array of topics. From pet snails growing up (Hi, Gary!) to beaches before and after cleanup and people losing weight, we've got all the satisfying changes rounded up in one place. And you know what, I think this kind of time-traveling saves you a lot of hassle, too. There's no need to hunt for magic crystals essential for your device, no need to worry about fuel prices for your DeLorean, or concern yourself about getting stuck in Tudor times if your contraption fails!

Anyway, if the flux of eons is something you enjoy watching, scroll down below for our glorious gallery of before and after photos. Will you see ancient structures in these fun photos? Are there going to be people changing over a lifetime? Maybe some cute pets before and after a walk in a park? A triple yes is due here! So, no more talk - scroll down below to the visual part of our joined time journey, vote for the beautiful photo comparisons you like the most, and don't forget to share this article with your compadres!

Mumbai Man Cleans 5 Million Kgs Of Trash (Timeframe 96 Weeks)

Justanotheruser1289 Report

Top-level athletes, established business people and basically all successful people have one thing in common—they all set goals. Then, of course, they worked really hard, failed plenty of times, went bankrupt, started believing in themselves again, and little by little, they made progress. That progress turned into achievements that end up on popular media, creating a false impression that they were either born this way or were lucky. While that’s the case for some successful people, others work really hard to get to that goal, whatever that is.

In order to find out why setting goals for ourselves, both big and small, is so important and how it can change our lives, we spoke with Susan Petang, a certified divorce coach and the creator of “The Quiet Zone Coaching,” who teaches women how to stop feeling overwhelmed and start waking up happy in the morning again.

“Even though I spend a lot of time encouraging others to be mindful in the moment, it's still important to set goals and plan for our future,” Susan said and added that “even a Buddhist Monk has to plan out his garden, right?” According to her, the idea is to enjoy and focus on the experience while we're doing it.

Two Self Portraits I Drew From A Mirror 10 Years Apart, Aged 13 And 23

Miles___ Report

“The key framework for determining how we should behave has 3 legs: Values, spiritual beliefs, and purpose. When we decide what our purpose is for the current stage of our life, it helps to create some goals so we can be super effective at staying true to that purpose.”

“For example, if you feel that your purpose at this point in your life is to be supportive to abused children, exactly what does that look like? How can you accomplish that? By setting goals,” Susan explained. In this case, you might want to take some classes in social work, or join forces with an organization that needs help, or teach parents how to manage their stress and anger.

“Another reason goals are important is that they provide us with motivation and direction. You're forced to get up and do something because you have this goal. It also helps you focus your attention on the things that are important to you, by asking yourself, ‘Is this going to get me closer to my goal?’” Susan believes that if your answer is “no,” then you just don’t do it.

Sumit316 Report

Moreover, it's super frustrating to feel like you just exist. “But if we have a reason to be doing what we're doing, goals (as we were just saying before) provide motivation. It's great when we can say to ourselves, "I have a reason to be here! Look what I'm doing!’” Susan explained that “having goals provides some existential validation (the reason you're here in the first place) and builds self-confidence and self-esteem, too!”

Few things in life are more satisfying than saying to yourself ‘Look at the great job I did! I'm so proud of myself for accomplishing this!’

On the other hand, Susan reminds everyone that even if you fail and don't achieve your goal, you can still turn it into a self-confidence booster. “Maybe I didn't get there this time, but I know what I did wrong. And I'm a bad-ass for working so hard!” It always feels good to have a goal and work toward it. And isn't that what we all want—to feel good?

On the other hand, it may be really hard to commit to your goal or resolution. But the best way to keep yourself on track of your progress is to break your goal down into bite-sized pieces. “For example, if your goal is to get a medical degree so you can be an amazing doctor, don't make 'Become a Doctor' your goal. The first goal might be, 'Enroll in Community College,' or if you're really intimidated by the process, start with, 'Fill out the application form,'" Susan said.

Lesser known facts: Certain textures of hair can be "locked" by rolling it a certain way. That's the origin of locs. When done correctly, this method allows hair to stay clean and controlled. Most white people do not have hair of that texture. In order to "lock" it, the hair has to be matted and in most cases, somewhat broken and roughened. It is much harder to keep hair in that state clean. Some of this is the reason that locks have a reputation of being "dirty" and "unprofessional". That's before getting into the issues of cultural appropriation and related concepts, which I am not an authority on, but on which people should LISTEN TO BLACK PEOPLE as we should on every subject.

Cultural appropriation of dreads do not exist and is easily the most ridiculous thing to whine about. Dreads are NOT solely a black culture, never has been. You can take a walk through history since ancient times and look for yourself

Unpopular opinion that white guy dreads don't work well (wrong hair texture, they just don't look good imo) but this man is gorgeous either way (though I think he's prettier without the dreads). he must have felt so much lighter!

She continued: “Break your goals down into small enough tasks that the goal isn't some huge honkin' overwhelming thing—it's just a series of tiny steps that you schedule into every day, or every week. Every time you accomplish one of those steps, pat yourself on the back, give yourself a round of applause, and say, ‘I'm a bad-ass because I got that done.’” Before you know it, you'll have achieved your goal and will be ready to set another one!
