Latvia-based Russian artist and image-designer Konstantin Bogomolov wants to make you over. After moving to Riga from St. Petersburg, Bogomolov opened the Bogomolov Image School that literally changes people--or at least what they look like.
These before and after pics are just the latest examples of Bogomolov's craft: using "his knowledge of psychology," "he creates a whole new image, based on the profession and personality of each woman." The results are nothing if not stunning, and rumor has it, Bogomolov did it for free to prove that every woman can be a queen.

I usually hate these "make-over" things because I feel like they always try to turn the women into something they're not: make them "preppy" / "basic" or whatever the most widespread style at that moment is. However, THIS is one of those rare examples of a makeover done right. Most of these women seem to have MORE of a personality in the after shots; and the choices in hair, make-up and clothes make them look younger and happier. A big round of applause to this stylist!
They all look about 10 years younger. #13 daaayum!

I like the fact he hasn't overdone the make up, it's a whole 'style' thing by accentuating the good bits the women didn't even know they had. Some of them barely have any make up on at all.
Makeovers basically say to the person that in the "before", you didn't look good/beautiful enough. Beauty is and always be subjective. Period. And those pics on the right show those women according to one guy's beauty standard, not an "absolute" beauty standard.

A lot of them looked better before than after in my opinion. 4, 5,6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14 for example. I'm frustratd when middle-aged women gets their hair shortened, in my country it's almost mandatory for women to get a masculine haircut when they reach 40 or 50, there's still so much to do with their hair though ! I won't go further because personally I find quite depressing the total transformation of women that were already pleasing to look at,but if they're happy, that's the most important.
Its always nice to see women get a perk up with new styles, etc. Whomever coined the phrase "Powder and Paint Makes You What You Ain't" was a fool and wrong. A bit of makeup can do wonders, even just lipstick brightens up your face. The people behind the scenes doing these makeovers did a stellar job and I bet the ladies are grateful also.

So - take a real woman. Cut and color her hair, cover her in make-up. Put sexier clothes on her. Then take her picture from an angle instead of straight on, with one hip sticking out, in heels you can't walk in. This is insulting.

Self esteem usually helps with body language and face expression... Ever had a longer time (a week or two, maybe more) of wearing nothing but baggy T-shirts and sneakers; at the end of which you finally put some nice clothes and some heels? Haven't you ever felt you self esteem triple in a manner of minutes just because you knew and felt yourself to look so much better?
