936Kviews
We transform every day. Slowly. The ones who walk into stylist Konstantin Bogomolov's studio, however, undergo such rapid makeovers, it's hard to believe they're the same people.
These before and after pics are just as impressive as the ones we've featured in our earlier post about Konstantin and his students. Together, they invite all kinds of people to become their models, and accept everyone from students to seniors. They craft each look for the particular person they're working on and the results are nothing short of amazing. Scroll down to check 'em out!

Have you notice that they always took off your glasses of to make you look ,,better"? Hm, I can't live a normal life without my glasses. Does it mean I'm constantly ugly? Well, that's what I heard 15 years ago when I was in primary school. Come on, guys! It's XXI century!
Too right! Glasses do not alter if someone is attractive or not. Some people actually look really good in glasses and a bit plain or somehow too ordinary without them. A girl I went to school with wore glasses that made her eyes look bigger and as she had beautiful eyes she looked stunning. It's daft.
Load More Replies...Give her back her glasses! Some of us can’t wear contacts and must wear glasses.
IMO: Left clothes, with right side hair cut. No need for the satin and bare chest.
LOL ~ it shows that she has a corporate side as well.
Load More Replies...This is stupid, the whole ‘she’s prettier without glasses!’ People with glasses can still be beautiful, and you shouldn’t have to put literal pieces of glass i your eye to fit society’s standards of beauty. That being said, she looks nice and her wardrobe has definitely improved.
would like to see glasses in "after" pics, not everyone wears contacts
Its surprising how many people don't understand how something as simple as a hair style can really change their looks, a LOT. All of these guys/gals look amazing. Not because of the make up but because they have styles that truly emphasize their features.
I love real life makeovers. As Mira says, they didn't just plaster her with makeup and put her in some outfit no real life person would wear. It's just a fine tuning of what was already there. She looks great.
Looks nice . I don't and won't understand why people dress in the Before in the first place. They would say that won't look good on me" if you don't try it on who would you know.
Nice change, it would likely be easy for her to keep up the look, also hair style perfect !!!
I could not believe that it's the same person! New feminine and sexy Lidia, watch out all men out there!
idk about the outfit, i like the style, but the silky blue with black and white floral pattern?? not so great... But overall, good transformation
Disliked. She looks like a real, natural, approachable human being on the left. On the right, she looks like she fell victim to the culture that says women have to wear makeup and appeal to a certain aesthetic in order to be a successful business person. Be a powerful and important person on your own terms.
this is wonderful. also, she looks a bit like lena headey imo
Same woman, but the difference the make over has made is so evident in the way she carries herself afterwards. There is so much confidence there. Shoulders back, head held taller. Fantastic!
Much better, although the hair colour is too bland . I would have taken more off the back also, maybe graduation.would look nicer and more textures with toffee lowlights
It's just the way her face is angled in the photographs
Load More Replies...I prefer the Lidia on the left. The 'best' Lidia is the one that makes her happy though! :)
I don't know. The chin/neck looks a bit different. Did they give her a chin lift, too? The haircut is great. She can go make-up less and still look great with that hair.
She's pretty in the BEFORE picture, her hair just needed some help. You don't have to wear a ton of make-up sandpit on fancy clothes to look good. I'd love to see her in the same jeans outfit, just with her hair done. Same jaunty tilt to her head...I'll bet she'd look even better than with all that make up and dressed-up on!
FFS. Say something positive for a change. Or don't say anything at all.
Load More Replies...Not a stitch she's wearing is uncomfortable in the least. The shirt is cut a bit low, but she's definitely got the figure for it.

It annoys me when the "transformation" = "get rid of the glasses" as part of it. Lots of people look really good in glasses IMHO

She already looked good, the makeup makes it better but yeah she would still look good without :P
Moral of the story? Get yourself a haircut that suits your hair type and facial shape?
I totally agree with you! Same thoughts.
Definitely. Had that experience myself too. Specially with the hair type... finding the kind of cut that fits your hair saves you so much time and stress from trying to style it and failing.
My hair dresser says that if you HAVE to spend more than ten minutes on your hair in the morning, then you have the wrong cut. You shouldn't have to torture your hair to make it look good. ...///... She's absolutely right. I have thick, but baby fine hair that has waves - and the short cut I have only requires a couple of strokes of the brush out of the shower to look great.
That would be fine. However, that’s not the message being shown here. The message here is “spend money on makeup and clothing”. Also “cover yourself in makeup”. It’s a bad message.
So true....
And always wear makeup! Being without puts 10 to 25 years on. I flipped with the before pics. I swore the 30 and 40yos were in their 50s and 60s respectively. Make up is golden. Just being truthful as I saw it.
And get makeup. Almost noone of them wore makeup on the "before" photo..
Wait what? So you mean a new hair style, fresh make up and new clothes will improve your appearance? Who would have thought it?
It's not just a “new“ hairstyle, it's always one that compliments people's shape of face. It's not easy to find the right one.
But almost all of these have got their hair cut off.. so apparently they picked people who will look good in short hair only..
Right, finding a good stylist isn't easy, the correct hair style makes a tremendous difference !!!

A couple of haircuts are mistakes.
Amazing isn't it. All comes down to money. If you have lots you can look good.
I think makeup makes women look like uncanny valley androids or mannequins. It’s creepy that I am in the minority on this because that means people are really inculcated into thinking makeup is necessary.
You need to ditch your glasses as well, apparently ;) The "before" photos are not fair - people have no makeup and no hair done (I''m not talking about fresh cut - but a professional styling of what they had before), and are dressed very casually. Let's compare how would they look after making an effort with what they started with, with what the stylist have done to them - and then we'd have a fair comparison.
I've been supposed to wear glasses since 2008. I think I've worn them 3 times. I look so bad in them despite loving the frames both times I got new pairs. I can't see my eye makeup in them and they just age me and I look hideous. I can't wear contacts. Kinda got used to seeing blurry lol.
John you are a sarcastic mofo, you know?
This highlights the importance of well fitted clothing. It doesn't have to be designer: it must fit your shape properly, hide figure flaws, and emphasize assets.
This is relevant to the 10-year challenge post where people commented under celebrities' pictures like "they just don't age!" and the point is that they have access to a hair dresser and makeup artist and dermatologist and dietitian etc whenever they want and that's why they look young
Nope. All you need is a decent hair cut, clothes that actually fit (does NOT have to be expensive) and drug store makeup that you can do in under 15 minutes.
I love how ppl down vote you when you're saying the exact same thing the rest are. Wtf. I voted up and ate a neg for ya. I agree fully. Proper done up makes a hiuuge difference.
yeah, but Kaisu is talking specifically about celebs who, chances are, actually have people to do all this stuff. i agree that you don't NEED all that to achieve the same effect.
Why is it always cutting the hair short? Show a professional long haircut.
I was asking the same thing..
There are plenty of outrageously expensive hairdos shown off on red carpet events that Aunt Messy would probably not call lazy, old, sloppy, or desperate...

There are no professional looking long haircuts. Long hair after 30 just makes you look either old or desperate. It's also lazy and generally sloppy looking - as if you don't care about yourself. People yammer about how "versatile" long hair is, but that's a lie. It's either long and stringy or in a pony tail that no one should wear after high school.
That's a ridiculous stereotype. Long hair doesn't necessarily work on all people, but age has nothing to do with it. I'm over 30 and I absolutely ROCK my long hair and it is extremely versatile. As long as I still have the ability to style it I will keep it long no matter what the naysayers dish out.
I think thick, long curly hair can be gorgeous. Some black people know what to do with theirs... it’s us with thinning hair and dragging features who have a problem. After 50, I realised just how much a short cut changed me for the better.
Sigh - Aunt Messy, I fear you are right. I am sitting here with my hair in a ponytaiil because it is convenient.
I mean, they all look better, but when you take people in their casual clothes, with no or little makeup, give them a new haircut, do throw some makeup on them and put them in new, fancy and hip clothes, who wouldn't look better? Not exactly something we didn't all knew before, right?

There's nothing "fancy" about the clothes on any of the after pictures. They just aren't jeans. The truth is that jeans are much LESS comfortable than what most of the people wore in the after shots.
I wasn't talking about comfort, but about appearances. And yes, compared to casual "before", the "after" clothes are fancy.
The colour choices in the after pictures are really not my thing, but the hair changes are amazing.
Ordinary people? Little well known fact: everybody is ordinary!
I think the " before" is more natural beautiful then the puppet " after". All girls and young women looks the same. Not unique and as usual is the Trend
You can definitely see the personal style of the stylist in the after
Haircut, ditch the specs, add plaid pants and get some accessories?
It's not easy to match style of makeup and hair to the face. What I see here is perfection :D The clothes are debatable, I would change most of them. But obviously we all have different taste, so no biggie.
You get a concealer, you get a concealer, hey, man - you get a concealer!
I would like to see something like this with just the hairstyle changed. I the person uses makeup then it can be used in a more professional way in the after pic too but if the person does not usually use it.... There are so many woman who don't like or don't bother to use makeup. I would like a "before and after" that stays more than just 1 day. If someone did this with me I wouldn't bother to replicate it the next day. Its too much work. So, I would like a change that suits me but does not have high maintenance to replicate daily.
I don't think the point of the make-up is to necessarily replicate it always... there are some haircuts here that will also need specific styling to look exactly like in the after. I think the point of this was to help the people who volunteered get a profissional opinion of what fits them best - what to do with it afterwards is up to them. I don't and wouldn't wear makeup everyday, but I'd love to have the help of a professional to know what kind of make-up look would be good for me so I can wear it when I want to look my very best - it's not easy to figure that out for yourself.
a basic make up routine is not very high maintenance. if you have a professional showing you the step-by-step routine you'll be able to replicate it the same way soon with a little practice.
There are so many tutorials on the internet. They can come in handy.
You are right. Putting on make-up the same way a professional has done is also near impossible.
I say even the before picture they are good looking.
Loved this post. I can do this myself, with new make-up and a new haircut. Just the lift I need. It's pushed me to sort myself out. Thanks.
Many of these people look good but others are a good example of why you can’t trust hairdressers.

Yeah, in the before pictures, it's obvious that their hair dressers hated them.
Or they hadn't seen a hairdresser in a while.
It's sad that all of the photos required hair cutting. Why are stylists always so happy about cutting off hair? It's the same when I go to the dresser and ask them to fix my roots. They always ask if I shouldn't cut off my hair. Now I have a hairdresser that don't bother about that. She only reminds me when my ends are split and cutting off what's needed- not more. Also kind of boring that many of these clothing styles are very uncomfy. Of course a classy suit makes anyone look better, but who wears that everyday if they are not the Queen herself or CEO somewhere? And lastly: none of these wore any make up in the 'before' pic. Makeup does a lot. Getting a good makeup done by a expert is of course the key.
Teaching models to stand up straight and at an angle instead of straight on makes them look younger and more stylish.
And makes you look thinner.
Make-up, jewelery, designer clothes, maybe some hair spray. Well...
I would like to see the after pictures with just the hair do and clothes.. Not the makeup..
We all get stuck on a look. They all look amazing. Take what you like and leave the rest
This just shows what a lot of foundation and/or digital airbrushing will do for your skin. They seem to hide a lot of their skin imperfections. Love the hairstyle improvements, though, some of them are great!
I love how they have used women of all ages and sizes. Some of the clothes styling is a bit bizarre, but the hair and makeup is awesome. I think I need this person to come and fix me!
I don't have a problem with a little eyebrow touch-up, but I'll be happy when this overly drawn on eyebrow fad is gone. It doesn't look too bad in pictures, but up close it looks ridiculous.
I have always struggled to get the eye brows to look natural... I catch myself in a mirror and my heart sinks when I see how badly drawn they are that day. I agree that super styled looks silly. Still, on some people it’s better than none at all.
Some look like they have been drawn on with a very thick crayon.
I love how a few token men were thrown in. This is clearly an post about making women feel they must look “younger” and more fashionable through consuming makeup and clothing. I’d be more into this if there were about an equal amount of men, but this is just more b.s. telling women to always be trying to achieve a look that’s not natural to us. Women’s bodies aren’t a consumable commodity to be improved upon, were people not products.
So you wish there were more men, yet you hate the entire concept because people aren't products? Also, I assume you get out of bed and literally just throw on the first thing you see because you feel appearance doesn't matter? Didn't think so.
Feminist alert!
I wish they wouldn't take glasses off the people in the after photos. We need to get away from the notion that a successful makeover requires them to be ditched. Otherwise these are fantastic and I really need someone like Konstantin in my life!
I'm calling photoshop here. On many of these people, you can easily see that the hairline has moved forward, and is blurry in those areas. Once again, impossible standards set by the "must be beautiful to matter" mantra.
Not a fan of so much makeup and all those "trendy" haircuts. I think half of the makeup and just some freshening up on the haircuts (e.g. cut the split ends, shape, colour, maybe bangs) would have been totally fine. Also I don't think that those people can keep their looks for more than this one day.
Can I go next? hehe
I agree that changing a hairstyle often does wonders - this is well seen in these pictures. Still, it seems to me that the impression of great change is a bit staged. Look at the models' poses - on the "before" pictures they always stay stiff in rather unpleasant and closed poses and they're not smiling. On the "after" ones they are posing - they stay in ways that make them look more self-confident and attractive, they're smiling, they're looking on the photographer. While some of the transformations are pretty spectacular - I think that the way the photos were taken also plays a big role here.
The point seems to be to bring out an opposite personality, and it looks pretty fake for the most part. People lose their own personalities in these make overs, especially in some of those horrid clothes. But there’s definitely something to be said about a hair style that defies gravity, a bit of eyeliner and well defined eye brows. Having said that, it’s difficult to figure out a hair style that suits you if you can’t afford an expert hair dresser.
It's annoying that almost all of the women have had double the amount of make-up and high heels put on. Society keeps telling us that a woman won't look good in flats and a natural, or minimal, face and it's bullsh*t. Sorry, rant over.
There are only 3 men transformed.... many more are needed.
False. These are just a few transformations Bored Panda chose to feature. On the website there are a lot more
more defined eyebrows and access to photoshop can make you look younger? I'm shocked
Very impressive
Some of these makeovers are amazing! I can't imagine how happy it made these women to see how they can look with a little tweaks. I'm assuming they were all done by the same stylist because each women's hair is chopped short in the same fashion. I wish he/ she left the women with some length or explored some different styles. I do love the concept and they really look great.
I find BP's use of the word 'ordinary' in the title pretty offensive considering you're supposed to be so PC. These are all people just getting on with their lives. I bet there's something extraordinary about each and every one of them
Nice to see fellow thin-haired people for once. Also, happy to check some haircut ideas for this hair type.
