this is the type of cursive we were taught in school, in the early sixties. Still write this way today. We practiced for over an hour each day to master our handwriting skills.

These are the 4 Ps of penmanship:

Sorry, but I didn't consider the majority of the examples hand"writing". Most of them would have been considered printing or caligraphy when I was in school. (You know, the Dark Ages.) I think it is sad cursive is no longer being taught in schools. My own granddaughter has trouble reading my cursive letters and I've always been told my hand writing is beautiful script. Everything changes but sometimes not for the better.
I hear you loud and clear, it is a dying art. I would love to see it come back into schools again, to enforce it. However, "this stuff can be used as parents secret weapon of defense and they would not understand it!" lol

I can never write in a straight line if there are no lines on the paper, plus my handwriting is atrocious.
Man, I remember how I tried until grade 8 or 9 to change my hideous scrawl into something nicer. All I managed was to eventually write faster. :-/

Kama Sutra ....and Number 4: This is how I write, I base my artistic abilities on my mood, and..."I would bet this person who wrote this is probably a lot like me."

Why make such a fuss about writing these days? Just type in your preferred font and be done with it.
