During the 1930s, the American Humane Association organized a "Be Kind To Animals" week where they shared posters of people taking care of animals. These adorable posters used artist's Morgan Dennis' work who was already known for his drawings, particularly of dogs. Each poster had an illustration of a charming child shown taking care of an animal. The main goal of the posters was to spread the message that people should love and respect animals.

On vacation I came across a donkey tied up with no water on a very hot day. I made a pan out of some litter and shared the last of my water from a long hike. The poor animal was so thirsty. I wanted to set him loose from such a cruel owner, but I didn't want trouble in a foreign country.

Why in hell does an article about kindness to animals have to drum up comments like this? There is no escaping it. I'm not happy with our president but I'd like to read about other things going on in the world or in history and engage in discussions about them. Bringing him up ALL THE TIME is a disease in our society and for once would love to discuss SOMETHING ELSE. This was about kindness to animals. I enjoyed the artwork and article. Amazingly no where did it say anything about politics.
Ya know, you really didn't have to bring your political opinions into a sweet post about being kind to animals. Wow...

not nice, he's just been cleared of some of the disgusting lies told about him. there's malignant cancerous hate in politics and the media, don't be part of it
except for like, you know, serial killers, rapists, members of the KKK, stalkers, poachers, the spotted lanternfly, trump, ash borer, nutria’s, invasive plant species, parisites, and a couple of other things. but other than that yeah you’re right.

I aint a feminist, but women deserve as,many rights as men. Gender doesnt make a difference! We are all people! All living things! Womendeserve rights just like animals need kindness.
You really should qualify that with militant feminist, or even rabid militant feminist. Normal feminist do a lot of good much more than the militant variety. Unfortunately the normal once aren't that vocal so they don't really distance themselves from the more militant (and toxic) vocal ones, which has led to that the militant ones have effectively become the face of "feminism".
