When Sia Cooper became pregnant with her first child, she decided to return to blogging and share her motherhood journey and progress with the world. She even quit nursing to become a stay at home mother and dedicate more time to creating content. However, not all mothers and fathers agreed with her parenting choices. Some even went so far as to call Sia a “bad mom.”

In response to them, Sia penned an honest open letter, explaining why she embraced that bad parenting label. Her post has resonated with over 28,000 people, many of whom applauded both Sia’s honesty and her philosophy on raising kids.

“It is very tough being a mom in this day and age,” Sia told Bored Panda. “Social media makes it so easy to be judged and to judge others. I have been judged for using canned goods all the way to me having tattoos – you cannot win with some people.”

She also believes that encountering a person who judges you for your parenting choices with little kids puts you in a difficult situation. There’s no easy way out and one has to listen to their intuition. “It is almost as if you are damned if you respond, damned if you don’t,” Sia said. “You know what is best for your own family so trust your gut and don’t care what anyone else says or thinks.”

Sia has two kids. Greyson, 5, and Everly, 3. She became a personal trainer after many women started asking her for plans. Sia saw a demand that needed to be filled and acquired a specialization in Women’s Fitness and Fitness Nutrition through NASM.
