There’s nothing like the sense of adventure you get while sitting comfortably in your car, winding your way down a scenic path, with a good song on the radio. Maybe you’ve got great company in the car, keeping you smiling throughout. Maybe you’re planning a stop at the world’s best roadside diner later on. Whatever the case—you’re brimming with joy and happiness.

However, that’s an overly romanticized view of driving. Everything up above doesn’t happen all too often. In reality, the world of driving is… well, it’s imperfect to put it diplomatically. Road raging jerks, impatient drivers who will zoom past you because you were adhering to the speed limits, clunky cars, and accidents that seem like they’re from a comedy show are just the tip of the iceberg.

The popular ‘Bad Drivers’ Facebook group shows us the utterly hilarious and sometimes totally bizarre side of driving and we’ve collected some of their very best posts to help speed your way towards the weekend. Check out the driving pics and memes about bad drivers below, remember to upvote the ones that you enjoyed the most, and tell us all about what you love and hate about driving the most in the comments, dear Pandas.

The ‘Bad Drivers’ Facebook group was founded over 3 years ago, back in January 2018. Since then, it has amassed a pretty large following with its driving-related content. At the time of writing, the online group had just over 595k members. In the last week alone, there were a whopping 8.7k new members.

The group had 374 posts in the last month, which averages to just over 10 per day. Though that number can vary wildly. For instance, within the last 24 hours at the time of writing, there had been 33 new posts shared by members of the group.

The administrators and moderators ask that all members of the group be “kind and courteous” to one another and respect each other’s privacy. They’re very firm about there not being any bullying or hate speech, too. What’s more, any sort of self-promotion or spam isn’t allowed. The content has to be related to driving and, well, bad drivers in some shape or form. Random and irrelevant posts won’t get you much love on ‘Bad Drivers.’

Can someone please explain to me why everyone isn't just changing lanes? I know this is really inconsiderate of the first driver to be so slow in the "fast lane" but why not just pass him? UPDATE: Thank you informative pandas. 🤔

Driving is just like any other skill—the more experience you have, the more effort you put into honing your abilities (and talents if you’ve got any), the better you’ll perform. So being a good driver is about putting in the time and improving slowly over time. There are no shortcuts because patience, perception, the ability to keep cool under stress, and being able to react quickly are what’s needed. You can’t cheat your way into that, so be prepared to put in a lot of hours behind the wheel before you feel confident.

There is a handicap placard hanging from the drivers visor. It is illegal to tow a car with a handicap sticker from a handicap spot in Ohio. I had one for two years. This person probably uses a wheel chair and needs the extra room. If a car parks too close you can't open your door fully. If they don't have the larger spots there's not much else you can do.

Provided they have the accessible parking tag, I have no problem with this. I worked in a job with a student in a wheelchair. We had a ramp on the bus. Spaces like this do NOT work for wheelchair ramps. If another driver pulled up next to this car, any ramp in this vehicle would never be able to fully extended. And yup, this is a car not a bus, but some wheelchairs can fold up and it's amazing what ramps can be rigged in cars. I have no issues with this.

This one is odd - why are the disabled spaces not more useful by being wider? Most of the ones I see/use are much wider to allow for equipment and/or people who find it a struggle to get out of a vehicle easily. Also many cars are wider than they used to be but parking spaces have not increased in size. There is something dangling in the windscreen - might be a disabled badge (what we call them in the UK though clearly not UK). Could be a jerk or could be someone who had to do this. Went to the dentist recently and there was a van right in the way of several spaces - turned out to be someone with a very compicated ramp and wheelchair set up. We can't assume...

In all fairness, these handicap spaces are the same size as regular spaces. Most handicap spaces are larger than regular. Maybe they needed extra room to get someone in a walker/wheelchair out of the car.

There appears to be a hang tag in the window, so my guess is this person used a wheelchair or other device and those spaces are way too narrow and certainly not up to code.

No cross hatch marks on either side of the disabled space, meaning no way to exit a vehicle, get a chair out snd set up. Bad parking paint job is more like it

A lot of people don’t understand this; if a person is in a wheelchair that drives a normal vehicle they need two spaces to be able to get in an out of their vehicle especially when their is no blue stripped spacing spot for them to be able to fully extent their door and get their wheelchair in and out from the back seat

If you need to get the wheelchair out of the passenger seat and use it yourself this is the only way to ensure you can get in and out. That's what those white diagonal lines are for by the big handicapped spaces. This one may be valid use.

I think it's reasonable, the vehicle has a disabled badge, and that in NOT a proper disabled space! Just an ordinary space with a disabled marking.

Well in this case driver did wrong... But many accessible parking spaces are kinda useless for people with mobility issues.. The majority of them are the size of regular parking space, with no striped lines around to accommodate the need for extra space for chairs/ramps. Yes it does help to be able park closer to the store / building, but you still need to get out of the car....

Yeah there's no space next to EITHER of them to open a wheelchair and let someone get out from the car and pivot and turn to the wheelchair. Whoever parked here probably did that because wheelchairs are wide and that's why there's usually an empty space with lines next to handicap parking

Lack of parking skills aside. If both spaces were full, how would a person be able to unload their wheelchair? There isn't enough space on either side of the parking spaces.

I am disabled, have a token in my windscreen, a non-disabled car was parked in the Disabled parking, so I parked crosswise behind it. The woman was fuming when I returned, luckily a parking attendant was there as well, he gave her a mouthful!

This gets me so angry. I saw a truck-type vehicle without a handicapped pass or license in the Walmart parking lot who pulled into a clearly marked handicapped parking space. Out piled five perfectly healthy young people (approx. age 25) who laughed and trotted into the store without a care in the world.

I suppose it is possible there's a handicapped placard on the back of the car. But I doubt it. And unless they have severe mobility issues that still makes it possible for them to get in/out of such a car, there's no excuse for using not one but two handicapped spots.

Do what we did at my last hospital that I worked at. We put every broken wheelchair or portable bed from the repair shop around the car then set up a movie camera and sign to report to security or car would be impounded by state police.

This, this right here. I'm so tired of seeing this kind of stuff. We had someone park over 4 parking spaces just so they would be in the shade. 4. For the shade. The only justice was that by the time they left their car had half been in the sun for a couple hours because the sun moves and shade spots change.

Confidence, or rather overconfidence, can be very insidious, however. You can’t ever fully relax behind the wheel because that’s when accidents tend to happen. You always need to be aware of your surroundings. Texting someone while driving is way out of line. Leave your 101 unanswered Facebook messages and 13 emails for when you’re getting a cup of coffee or when you’re safely back home.

It’s common sense that you shouldn’t drive when you’re sleepy or if you’ve had any alcohol. What’s more, you ought to adjust your mirrors properly every time you get into the car. Obviously, don’t forget to view your mirrors. And however fun the ‘Fast & Furious’ films might look, in reality, speed won’t get you anywhere but in danger if you lack the necessary skills and control. It’s always best to match the speed of the traffic and play by the rules. After all, you want to be a good driver, not a bad one. Right?

The truth about this picture, is that the street was one way and already put the parking spots that way. Few weeks later, due to traffic the street remaind one way street but in the opposite direction. So, basically, it's nothing wrong(except the municipality should mark again in the other way the parking spots)
