There’s nothing like the sense of adventure you get while sitting comfortably in your car, winding your way down a scenic path, with a good song on the radio. Maybe you’ve got great company in the car, keeping you smiling throughout. Maybe you’re planning a stop at the world’s best roadside diner later on. Whatever the case—you’re brimming with joy and happiness.

However, that’s an overly romanticized view of driving. Everything up above doesn’t happen all too often. In reality, the world of driving is… well, it’s imperfect to put it diplomatically. Road raging jerks, impatient drivers who will zoom past you because you were adhering to the speed limits, clunky cars, and accidents that seem like they’re from a comedy show are just the tip of the iceberg.

The popular ‘Bad Drivers’ Facebook group shows us the utterly hilarious and sometimes totally bizarre side of driving and we’ve collected some of their very best posts to help speed your way towards the weekend. Check out the driving pics and memes about bad drivers below, remember to upvote the ones that you enjoyed the most, and tell us all about what you love and hate about driving the most in the comments, dear Pandas.

The ‘Bad Drivers’ Facebook group was founded over 3 years ago, back in January 2018. Since then, it has amassed a pretty large following with its driving-related content. At the time of writing, the online group had just over 595k members. In the last week alone, there were a whopping 8.7k new members.

The group had 374 posts in the last month, which averages to just over 10 per day. Though that number can vary wildly. For instance, within the last 24 hours at the time of writing, there had been 33 new posts shared by members of the group.

The administrators and moderators ask that all members of the group be “kind and courteous” to one another and respect each other’s privacy. They’re very firm about there not being any bullying or hate speech, too. What’s more, any sort of self-promotion or spam isn’t allowed. The content has to be related to driving and, well, bad drivers in some shape or form. Random and irrelevant posts won’t get you much love on ‘Bad Drivers.’

Can someone please explain to me why everyone isn't just changing lanes? I know this is really inconsiderate of the first driver to be so slow in the "fast lane" but why not just pass him? UPDATE: Thank you informative pandas. 🤔

Saw a couple of stickers on a huge lorry the other day and I think it relates so; here in the UK we drive on the left, two stickers on the back of this behemoth and the one on the right said 'Overtakers' with a little arrow showing you the way to pass safely, the one on the left just said 'Undertakers' with a little arrow showing you the way to your fiery demise. Safe yet fun. Well done Mr. Lorry Man.

Yeah, this appears to be in Oregon or Washington (I see both plates), and it is a ticketable offence if you have a line of 5 cars behind you.

The picture might be very misleading. I like to drive fast (really fast) and as much it is sometimes annoying when someone drives very long in the left line consider please that drivers who might not like to drive as fast as you is also allowed to pass a car slower then theirs

IIRC, in Germany the custom is to turn on the left blinker, signaling "if I had another lane on the left, I'd use it to pass you."

Sure, it should be ticketable IF they are going under the speed limit. But if the front driver is doing the speed limit and the people piling up behind him are annoyed because they can't speed like they normally do... well then too bad.

left lane is not to allow people to create a reckless environment that endangers all lives. if the guy in front was going 10mph over speed limit then he's in "passing mode and is overtaking pickup on right. would need more info here.

Speed differential is the real problem. It isn't just the car driving too fast. Usually the slow car doesn't know they are responsible for many accidents.

Depending on how much traffic they create, how long they have been sitting there, and how slow -- under the speed limit? Absolutely. The sooner they move over, the quicker the traffic jam goes away.

It's a problem whenever a car paces with a vehicle in the next lane over, rather than the one in front of them. It screws up everyone's road rhythms and backs up the entire highway.

This happens the other way though - people blocking the right hand lane on dual carriageways by going slowly. Illegal and dangerous to pass on the inside due to blind spots. I nearly hit someone once as they were passing me on the inside when I was trying to get back into that lane - I was being held up by fools hogging the outside lane.

Honestly, I think cars do this deliberately as they take the opportunity to check their mobile phones by keeping tucked in behind.............. I see it in this country all the time. You can tell immediately by the way someone is driving whether they are checking their phones or not. I could bet 3 or 4 of these cars are checking mobile phones.................

I swear people like this drive me up the wall! Yes I understand everyone could have changed lanes but the whole point of the left lane (at least where I'm from) is to pass slower traffic. People in my town love to ride the same speed as those in the right lane just to annoy those behind them. There are times in our lives when we are in a hurry due to emergencies. It goes back to "you never know what someone may be going through"

In many states in the US this is illegal, creating a safety hazard based on low speed. The rules typically require right lane for the slower speed drivers. Maybe one of the vehicles ahead swerved across lanes and no one wants to risk passing. Or the driver is reading the KPH value on their speedometer.... Or they cannot see well....

This last car appears to have an Oregon tag and interstate 70 runs through Oregon, so I'm going on the assumption this is Oregon. Passing on the right is legal in that state (and in many other states) on multi-lane roads where all traffic is moving in the same direction. That said, in this case it looks like the jerk in the front of this line is too close to the pickup in the right lane to allow passing. I don't have personal experience with drivers in Oregon, but I know here in Florida this is a common occurrence despite signs everywhere telling slow drivers to keep right. You can be ticketed for driving slowly in the 'passing' lanes, but you have to get caught first.

What exactly should you do if you're driving speed limit on the right lane and you're approaching slower group of cars on the left who are hogging the lane that is meant for overtaking only. Legally, you can't pass them on the right. Technically, you are supposed to slow down and drive slower than them just because they are idiots.. For me, it's a situation where you can't win.. And chances of them getting a fine is practically zero.

Hard to tell if the front driver is driving under the speed limit or at the speed limit. If the front driver is driving at the speed limit, I don’t see an issue here and if you fault the driver for driving on the left lane, all vehicles behind the first vehicle should be getting a ticket. In my experience, there are more people exceeding speed limits thinking everybody should move aside for them as opposed to people driving under the speed limit preventing other people to pass them.

Yep! That’s Oregon. My daily commute. This is a constant on most roads in Oregon. Rarely do I ever see these driver’s be ticketed, despite roadside signs stating slow drivers must move to the right. I drive a lot each day for work and another problem with Oregon drivers is the use of high beams. Nothing more fantastic then having an inconsiderate driver behind you or in the opposing lane who refuses to turn off their high beams!

It's disrespectful to show down traffic by driving in the fast lane! We in Australia must keep to the left unless overtaking and when someone rides in the right hand lane slowly, it makes most people mad! Especially if the road is one-lane only, as in not duplicated, so we're forced to sit behind an idiot show driver until road marking indicates its safe to overtake when there's no oncoming traffic, can be dangerous!!!

In many states, it IS a ticketable offense. You're supposed to be passing another vehicle, or out of the lane. Why aren't the other drivers passing? Several possibilities here. 1) They may be in Oregon, based on the closest license plate. Oregon drivers apparently think you get bonus points for driving below the speed limit. 2) In some states, it's illegal to pass on the right, and/or 3) They see the pickup in the right lane and have judged that a) S/he won't speed up and/or b) there isn't enough room between the pickup and the lead car to execute a safe pass.

Since traffic laws vary widely from state to state and province to province, it is better to check the local regulations in any case. Driving is just like any other skill—the more experience you have, the more effort you put into honing your abilities (and talents if you’ve got any), the better you’ll perform. So being a good driver is about putting in the time and improving slowly over time. There are no shortcuts because patience, perception, the ability to keep cool under stress, and being able to react quickly are what’s needed. You can’t cheat your way into that, so be prepared to put in a lot of hours behind the wheel before you feel confident.

Confidence, or rather overconfidence, can be very insidious, however. You can’t ever fully relax behind the wheel because that’s when accidents tend to happen. You always need to be aware of your surroundings. Texting someone while driving is way out of line. Leave your 101 unanswered Facebook messages and 13 emails for when you’re getting a cup of coffee or when you’re safely back home.

It’s common sense that you shouldn’t drive when you’re sleepy or if you’ve had any alcohol. What’s more, you ought to adjust your mirrors properly every time you get into the car. Obviously, don’t forget to view your mirrors. And however fun the ‘Fast & Furious’ films might look, in reality, speed won’t get you anywhere but in danger if you lack the necessary skills and control. It’s always best to match the speed of the traffic and play by the rules. After all, you want to be a good driver, not a bad one. Right?

Do not move. I don't care if the light turns green. I would sit as still as possible until this car leaves the intersection. I do not trust that driver and that kind of driving terrifies me.

The truth about this picture, is that the street was one way and already put the parking spots that way. Few weeks later, due to traffic the street remaind one way street but in the opposite direction. So, basically, it's nothing wrong(except the municipality should mark again in the other way the parking spots)
