Previously, Bored Panda reached out to Vasia Toxavidi, a counselor and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), to find out about ways of dealing with mishaps and developing psychological resilience.
According to Vasia, even the smallest mishaps like “throwing our morning coffee on us or even getting a text or an email we don’t like can affect the rest of our day.” A typical reaction is “Oh, great start to the day!” but according to the counselor, the negative bias can directly affect the course of events.
Scientists say that the reason we are all wired for ‘negatively biased’ thinking is because negative events and emotions have a greater impact in our brains than the positive ones. Even the smallest things that generate negative reactions can snowball into the forecast for the rest of the day, or even the week.

Been there, done that, not even got a t-shirt... Listen to an interesting audio book, a podcast or something like that and just keep sorting away at your own pace without hurry - consider it some kind of meditation, if you like. Just really try to keep the annoying thoughts like "How stupid! This will take forever! What a waste of my precious time..." out of your head. They only make you feel bad and do not help the process at all! And my special advice would be: Do not, I repeat: DO NOT drop the box a second time within one month after you have finished the sorting. Yes, I am clumsy.

That's about $20 worth of glass beads on Amazon so unless you really, REALLY don't have anything else to do, just chuck them.
Cleaning them up would be my nightmare, however, sorting them would be very relaxing for me. I wish I could help!

This reminds of a story (could be an urban myth) where they trained pigeons to sort, for the sake of an argument - beads. Animal rights fought that this was inhumane, and won. Now humans are doing the job!

I sorted 1 color at a time, it may not have mattered but it seemed to go faster.
I've done that....right after I had spent a week sorting them in the first place.
I would just use them for a multi color necklace that would look good with jeans and a tee shirt. Ignore the color order and use one of those fast spin things. Good luck.

That is the WRONG sorting case. There are more expensive cases with a lid on each compartment. This is just going to happen again.

If you were able to do it given the current situation this is what you do. Throw a party for a bunch of kids. Give each kid a pile of beads and the first one to sort theirs into the correct colours wins a prize.
It'd be faster and less stressful to buy more bags of them; use the mixed ones for a project that looks good with them that way.

I think, in the future, maybe get a "medicine sorter" type box, with individual lids for each color. I could well imagine myself sorting out all those colors, doing a celebratory YAY and knocking it over again.

UPDATE: It's bell pepper, about $250 a kilo and we lost 20 kilos in total. What happened was I was discharging the product inside the container and I thought I was completely done because none was coming out. I undo all of the screws, lift it up, and a shit ton poor's out. It turned out that the valve closed due to the vibration of the pump motor and there was a lot of leftover. No one will see it, hopefully. Most of the employees only use Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
UPDATE: I didn't get fired! But I do have to go back to that order and make another 20 kilos which will be a long day. They were really understanding and forgave me for my mistake. Thank god I didn't lose my job!

I ordered my new smartphone.. after a week , the day they should deliver it , I received an email, the phone was out of stock .. I receive a refund, order it from Amazon.. another week of wait.. yesterday the courier rang the door bell and shout "I leave here your parcel!!!" And run away..I couldn't check the box with his presence and say something. The box is smashed..the phone screen is in thousand pieces! I closed the box and sent back at postal office within 30 minutes.. i don't know if it's my destiny saying "don't buy this model!change!"
Sad about others misfortunes but it gave me something to do in work.
Next time you have a s****y day go through this post and you won't feel so bad anymore. A lot of this I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
a guy i knew in my choir class got his first phone when he turned 17 on his birthday, he saw the case and tried to open it too fast..... it got thrown outta the box and broke too bad for him to use it before it was even used
and i thought the smoke alarms going off at 10:50 PM for no reason (no fire, these don't check for carbon monoxide, the battery was fine...) was bad. also smoke alarms don't work well. it woke me up, but my first reaction wasn't "we're on fire", it was "what is that dreadful noise... who cares i'm going back to sleep" and it didn't even wake my mother somehow. my alarm clock does better, it went off and i thought the house was on fire.
Yesterday spilled an entire paint gallon donated to a project I am working on as I was loading it in my car... all over all my tools trunk parking lot pretty dress my whole life. Also got judged by the mean girls version of a nine year old student... I felt every one of these post so hard
