Apart from the poor execution, the idea is brilliant is you don't have any space for a washer!

because there isn't enough room in the old Soviet style bath room or toilet room for a washer and the kitchens in what is likely a Khruschevka are way to small for washers too. In my apartment they ripped out the sink to put the washer in, so I brush my teeth in the bathtub
