Absolutely!! We didn't have much money for Christmas this year - self employed and we both caught covid and were too sick to work for a few weeks. Still managed to get each other some small gifts just to mark the occasion. You just think about what the other person loves. Even if it's not something tangible you can give them the time to do whatever they love. If you can't do that... well, then you're not much of a partner!

Throw a blanket on the floor, pop a frozen pizza in the oven, throw together a bagged salad, and BOOM! Picnic.
