The Internet has been following Tel-Aviv-based couple Yehuda and Maya Devir’s ongoing comic series, One of Those Days, for years now. Their charming strips hilariously document their everyday life, demonstrating the love that binds them together.
At the end of 2018, Yehuda and Maya announced they were gonna become parents and it wasn’t long before they welcomed their newborn daughter, Ariel.
Even though their followers could catch a glimpse of Ariel here and there, it wasn’t until her 1st birthday a week ago that her parents really revealed her.

Yehuda and Maya said the main thing that has changed since Ariel was born is the fact that the couple can no longer find alone time just for themselves. They devote all their time to either Ariel or work. But don’t mistake it for a complaint!
Ariel is their favorite person and also the happiest person they know. “Everything is exciting for her, she appreciates every little thing like it’s the most amazing detail in the world,” the happy couple told Bored Panda.” To her, ‘Peekaboo’ is by far the most incredible invention of humanity. She’s very smart, fearless, and has her parents’ sense of humor.”
It took Yehuda and Maya a year until they presented Ariel on social media, and it was a hard decision to make. “Everyone wanted to see her from the day she was born,” Yehuda and Maya added. “We opened an Instagram account for her when we first drew her in our comics to protect her [future] username and it got hacked just a week later. However, we managed to reclaim her page. Like a lot of parents, protecting Ariel’s privacy feels like our natural instinct.”
“Unlike her parents, she didn’t choose to let the whole world see her. All of our illustrations tell the story from our point of view, and we don’t add text to Ariel’s character. Not even her thoughts.” The parents said it’s Ariel’s choice to decide how much she wants to show of herself on social media and she’ll make it when she’s older. “We will be there to protect her no matter what.”
Even now, when Yehuda and Maya show pictures of her, they select the images very carefully. “She is the most important thing in the world for us.”
The couple also gave in to their amazing followers’ requests and launched a kids’ collection on their website as part of Ariel’s first birthday celebration.
The baby girl has already appeared in her parents’ comics

Here’s what their fans said
I love this artists work. Please keep up the posts. I would love to see how Ariel's next big steps are depicted by her Dad's imagination.
Give them a follow on Instagram and you won't have to wait for BP to cover them.
Load More Replies...so now I understand the presence of plush Hulk in previous set of comics :)
i can't find where to buy one online, but if you'd like to look it's called something like "Marvel Chunky Incredible Hulk Plush"
Load More Replies...I'm not sure (so I'm risking sounding dumb here) quite what's going on in the one where they're smooshed up against glass? What's the tally there for? Please be nice, I'm trying to learn!
Number of days in quarantine? I don't know when it was drawn so I'm only guessing! 😁
Load More Replies...'[..] please be nice to her, and watch her back.' ... SO freaking precious! This family is too adorable for words. Big fan of their artwork as well.
I love these comics, but think children should be kept off social media until they can decide if they want to be there or not.
I don't disagree, but part of me also realizes that this is just the new normal. It's the way it is now and I doubt it's going away so maybe it's time for me to adjust to that. That said, I don't think I'd be posting pics personally
Load More Replies...I wish I had a love, God bless you all you 3, Yehuda, Maya and little Ariel!
Ariel is so gorgeous. What a beautiful family! I can't wait to see more of Yehuda's comics!
Mazel Tov to Ariel and all of the (no-longer) Bored Panda, plus "one more!" Now I'm a constant follower.."Mazel and Brochas"..aka "Luck and Blessings" Gerry Lewy in Thornhill, Ontario. Canada!
Omg, youare so so beautiful people and the little one is absolutely stunning!
Omg they are just as adorable in real life as in their comics! This family is just so cute. I remember when they announced they were having a child I was so excited for them . Yay
What an adorable family, nice to see the real people outside the cartoons.
I love this artist's work, it's amazing to see caricatures that are so close to the real thing. His work is funny, honest, sweet, perfect!
Ariel is aboutaly adorable what a cutie looks just like her beautiful mom and I'm sure her attitude like dad!
Beautiful family! Love the cartoons and the little hulk! Thank you for sharing!!
I am jealous of her already. She is going to grow up to be stunningly beautiful with an amazing artistic talent because of her wonderful parents. But best of all and the most important, she will have a wonderful upbringing with two parents who will love her and bring her up the best way possible.
Awwww, she's so cute! I hope to see more of his comics in the future
they're such a cute little family! I've really enjoyed watching their lives through his art.
She is adorable. Been following your comic for years. Beautiful family. Best wishes for an incredibly happy future
He is actually as big as she drew him!!??? I was sure he was a "Hulk" in her mind. I bet he's a former commando soldier.
So adorable! She's got a good mix of her parents but I think she's gonna favor her Mom more.
Hate to tell you Mom and Dad, but in a few years, your baby Ariel is going to go from a gorgeous little girl to an outstanding teen-ager! Enjoy her each and every day, even when she drives you nuts!
Omg the hulk is a real toy! Always was t favorite addition but did not expect the realistic toy!
Yehuda and Maya are so blessed to have such a gorgeous kid! And their artwork is as much beautiful as it's fun, as it's Ariel - the most awesome part of this idyll. Really lovely ❤
And here, my friends, is a rare glance at the elusive stuffed Hulk, first seen in comics which none of us could understand.
