Exactly. I helped a homeless couple with money each week. They also stand on a corner to ask for help. Turned out the guy had been saving the money to buy an old run down RV. He surprised his partner on her birthday. The RV then had an issue with a bearing going out on the rear wheels. He found a mechanic that would come out to fix it...I offered to pay. Mechanic only needed money for the part and donated his time. They are now mobile and able to get away from the dangerous areas of town where the drug addicts hang out. But they don't leave completely because he is trying to help out as many homeless people as he can to survive on the street. I will help him anyway I can to achieve this, buying tents and sleeping bags for anyone that is newly homeless. I don't care what put them there...I just don't want anyone dying from no one caring.

We won't get rid of trichinosis. It exists in carnivorous mammals. Rats tend to live near pigs. If a pig eats an infected rat it gets trichinosis. Testing is done but some cases escape detection. Cook your pork. Not necessarily to death, just enough to kill those small worm larvae. End of rant.

In the not too distant past, there was a real danger in eating undercooked pork - Trichinosis, the food-borne disease caused by a microscopic parasite Trichinella. Most pork was raised in conditions where the parasite thrived and was common in fresh pork. To kill it, the meat had to be cooked to 145°F/63°C. Now, pork sold in grocery stores is not raised in these conditions and because there is no parasite, the meat so doesn't have to be cooked to death.

That's my hub. During the freeze last year, we had no water for about 5 days. He went out every morning and brought 2, 3 big buckets of water from one neighbors pool to all 10 houses in our cul-de-sac. If he can help, he will. Sometimes to the point I have to say stop already! He is 67 after all.

Clair Patterson-he was made out to be crazy by giant oil companies bc he tested ice cores in the Arctic and figured out that the amount of lead in the atmosphere, the water, and our bodies was extremely high and caused by leaded gasoline. He petitioned Congress for years to make it illegal to add lead to gasoline, but the corporations kept getting him shut down because they used lead as an anti-knock agent for internal combustion engines. Ironically, lead was causing everyone else to go crazy because it is shaped like a neurotransmitter and blocks receptors causing insanity, similarly to what mercury does, and many employees of the oil companies had gone mad. After decades of battling the oil companies, he finally got his way and lead was removed from gasoline. Since then, the amount of lead in the atmosphere and I’m living things has decreased dramatically. Clair Patterson… a f**king hero. He also created the first truly “clean room.”
