We live with 5 Maine Coons and they are amazing creatures. They have fabulous pursonalities, are typically social and are very loving. I have attached a picture of Rusty our big red classic boy, begging for treats with our 8 year old granddaughter. The coat, color and personality are driven by genetics. There are many breeders out there, but be careful that the breeder tests for genetic issues, heart and hip problems.
