True, funny story. Was working in KwaZulu-Natal with a BBC film crew and they needed to get to Hluhluwe. After about 15 minutes the guy brings me his Garmin and paper map says the GPS can't find the place. They were looking for "Shlush-slew-we" and just could not find it anywhere on the map. Anna I think you are missing the point here, if you were from a non English speaking culture/ethnicity and you were given a name that is totally acceptable in that language and culture, what is wrong with that? I think this is more about English speakers giving their children ridiculous "youneek" names that are spelled stupidly or differently from the norm, because they want their kid to be edgy and unique.
