That's an incredibly flippant comment. Some can't afford to swap to their dream job, some can't take the time to train for what it is. Some don't even know what their dream job is, and 10 years into one role it's incredibly intimidating to start from scratch (especially if you are still trying to work out what the dream job is). If you find something you like you are lucky, and you are rude and privileged if you forget that fact.

I think the bathroom scenario is clear transphobia. With the prison thing, transwomen should automatically be incarcerated with other women, as they would be horribly at risk if incarcerated with men. But if transwoman had a history of violent sex crimes against women, I think they need to be segregated from the other woman prisoners. I also think that cis-women with a history of sexual violence against women should be segregated, and as men (cis or trans) with history of sexual violence against other men. Rape is horrificly common in prisons, and I think society has a duty of care towards prisoners, and this should include protecting them from sexual violence in prison, regardless of their gender.

Cornwall is beautiful! Years ago I took a lovely walk along Land's End and stayed in a hostel in Penzance that claimed to have an old smuggler's tunnel. Also played darts at a local pub - very friendly crowd.

I mentioned the sexual abuse cases because other people brought it up in the comments, but there is a lot more to the Islands. Polynesians inhabited and then left the area before the Mutiny on the Bounty crowd settled it in 1790 - and as I said above, most of the Islanders descend from those settlers. Now it's a UK Territory and it looks like an absolutely beautiful place. Also the marine environment is extraordinary, and in 2015 the British Government decided to establish the largest marine reserve in the world around the Pitcairn Islands. Fascinating culture/ history/ ecosystem!

Pitcairn is fascinating - the majority of Pitcairn Islanders are descended from the nine mutineers of the famous Mutiny on the Bounty and 18 Polynesians and one infant who arrived with the mutineers in 1790. Today there are about 50 people living there. There have been cases of widespread sexual abuse -particularly of young girls. Former mayor Steve Christian- a direct descendant of mutineer/ leader Fletcher Christian - was convicted of rape and child sexual abuse along with 6 other men in 2004.
