BP put up a photo of an ambulance which triggered everyone talking about health care, but I think the real concern here is that for most Americans, damn near anything not going according to plan is a financial crisis. Car breaks down, out of work for a week, medical expense, etc. It's a huge problem.

One of the problems, especially in the states, is the lack of available help and support services. Banned from aborting a fetus that will 100% be born with long term problems and will need many operations and full time one to one care for the rest of their life is absolutely terrifying. No support system in place for the parent, even with a healthy child, makes everything harder. Then add all the disabilities on top of that? It's nigh on impossible.
