Artists Around The World React To H&M’s Controversial Ad

In my town we call all the children here little monkeys regardless of where their genetic ancestry is from or their complexions. I'm from a biracial family and I'd happily see any of the little monkeys in the family in this hoodie, it wouldn't even cross my mind that someone bought it to be offensive. Would've just assumed the one that bought it knew the monsters. Personally I find it offensive that being black means I can't refer to him as I would any other child. That the world thinks he should be segregated from wearing the same clothing and being called the same loveable nicknames because of his skin colour is a crazy step backward that's being painted as progress.....

Everything that was made for living animals in this post series would actually kill the animals that would be living in it. Glass or fake birds would be best, but real birds? no. Not to mention, the person buying it will have no priority in the animal's welfare or life.

That design would kill everything that was put into it. There's no filter/bubbler/heater for the fish, there's little space for the birds to live in, and they couldnt fly as they'd need a horizontal cage with more width than height... basically its a prison death trap for anything living. Heck, even without living its a hazard. top heavy, difficult to clean, and serves little purpose.

adding in a bit of artist psychology to this! when people are first starting out with art, they typically outline the eyes and hyperfocus on the teeth, its an interesting phenomenon that I've been watching, and its extremely evident in how these were photoshopped. you can see it in highschooler's art, bad tattoos, and countless amateur art. I do believe this is one of ways that our brains break down faces to easily understand them and keep them catalogued in the mind.
