I said f**k that on the dept floor to a coworker (dont even remember why) and apparently a supervisor over heard me. I got called in to the office 3 weeks later and was fired. They asked me to sign my termination papers saying I was insubordinate and I refused . I applied for unemployment and they tried to deny me and I had to go through the appeals process. On the reason for the denial they stated that I was making two many errors in my position and a bunch of other bull crap related to my job performance. The unemployment person asked me what happened, I told them I said a curse word and was never advised that my performance was off and they asked if I was ever offered retraining and confirmed I had not been. I was able to get my unemployment approved. I did go back and work for the same company a year later and eventually they had to close due to so many lawsuits from the owner and all his sexual harassment claims against him.

Easy guess for me because the cut-off age at my wedding was 5-years-old: I didn't want to have to invite a pair of 3-year-old cousins who could raise enough hell for a dozen SWAT teams, an army of gladiators, an entire station of fire fighters, and 40 babysitters in riot gear. The five-year-olds at my wedding were much better behaved than the scheming 15-year-old mean girl in the body of a 32-year-old.

Recently a family friend asked me invited me to her wedding “not as a guest, but to take pictures” also asking for them to be photoshopped. I was previously roped into doing a large family photo shoot which they paid with a dinner at a tex-mex restaurant, so I declined bc I don’t shoot events, have never shot a wedding, don’t have an assistant, nor professional equipment, and have never used photoshop. I may have been rude bc I also told her i wouldn’t invite her to my wedding as a caterer but not as a guest. She was quiet the rest of the night but I’m DONE giving away my services.

The law in my country says that one sitter can't take care of more than 8 kids under 3. And two unqualified 20 year olds are supposed to provide good care for 40 children and keep them safe? i had a child free wedding however wen i say child free i mean like 5 and younger. i kno a child wouldnt want to b at a wedding for 5 or 6 hours with nothing to do. plus it was during covid and new york didnt allow dancing at weddings so they couldnt have fun doing that we had the tradition dances and ppl dance by their tables but thats it. my flower girl was 5 and the youngest there but i made sure she had plenty to do and she had a blast. the thing is our friends all have babies if we let the babies come they wouldnt get to enjoy themselves. we let the children come to the engagement party and bridal shower so they were included in some way. but making child free under 21 is ridiculous u r basically turning ur wedding into a 21 and older club at that point. it also leaves out family members i went to a wedding like that and during cocktail hour alot of gossip going around about how the bride and grooms families were very upset with them bc alot of cousins neices and nephews werent allowes to come. the worst part they had a perfect choice for flower girl and ring bearer but wat did they do their 2 dogs were the flower girl and ring bearer. the brides sister was furious with her bc her sisters daughter and son got replaced by dogs. as cute as it was i cut ties with that friend bc she backstabbed her own sister. her neice and nephew were supposed to b part of the ceremony then afterwards brought home to b with the babysitter but nope the bride changed the plans the day before the wedding. ppl who do 21 and older weddings dont realize it hurts family members if they have younger the 21 family.

Marty, good for you for writing these things down! Please don't let the nay-sayers stop you from doing something that just might help you heal! The Bible actually answers many of your concerns about what happens to those who choose to hate and harm others, and what the victims should and shouldn't do (like revenge - a real no-no!) Dearest Marty, there is so much I want to say! I too (now age 65) was hated and abused by my family! I too have spent massive amounts of time and money being compassionate to others (and most were just using me). I too didn't "connect the dots" about an entire life of abuse from the family I loved until much later in life! I too am ADD / OCD. I am intensely focused on the details, until I get distracted! It is kind of funny! I wanted to say when I read of your abuse, that since God doesn't give us more than we can handle, He doesn't make us deal with that much pain until we are mature enough to handle it! You are there & ready now! It has been 10-15 years since I began to connect the dots for myself. During this time, I have slowly lost the pain, and gained an awareness that the crap these people gave themselves permission to do to others, is their problem, and no longer yours! It is in the past. You endured it, and didn't let it harden your heart! YOU WON!

If you don't depress the clutch at a stop, your engine will stall, since giving it any gas would make it move the car forward. Did someone tell you to put the gear in neutral when you stop? That would let you let the clutch up without stalling the engine, but it isn't an efficient way to drive. I keep my clutch in at a stop, or when slowing, and use that time to shift into the gear number that I will need next (usually first gear at a stop). I also use a combo of partial clutch and gas to keep my car from rolling back on a hill! This is a skill - not a failing. Clutches don't wear out that fast. Don't worry about it!
