Must admit I've only ever heard it said with a silent H so just did a bit more reading. In the UK (so this might not be the case elsewhere) it tends to be: "H is always silent in HONOUR, HOUR, HONEST, HEIR, VEHICLE & VEHEMENT. You don't say it after 'g' in GHOST, GHASTLY, AGHAST, GHERKIN & GHETTO, or after 'r' in RHINOCEROS, RHUBARB, RHYME and RHYTHM. It’s normally silent after ‘w’: WHAT? WHICH? WHERE? WHEN? WHY? but it’s pronounced in WHO? – “Who’d have thought it?”. And we don’t always say it after ‘ex’ – eg EXHILARATING… or EXHAUSTING. " I have heard vehicle said on US TV with a definite H pronounced (and also not) so I suppose it might be the case that some of these are different as well.

Not disagreeing regarding scones/biscuits being different David but not all scones have sugar in them, we do savoury scones in the UK as well as sweet (nice healthy helping of cheese.. yum!). Some scones are plain, some have fruit added. There are other differences in recipes for biscuits to scones.

That's excellent. Sadly I have been a couple of times. Though for those who might not know (and I'm definitely not saying this is you as you sound like you've been very sensible) tanning at any age can cause permanent and irreversible skin damage and increase the risk of skin cancer, so even if a person doesn't burn they can still be at risk sadly.
