I wouldn't count this as "bad name given by parents" because here we are talking about 2 very different languages and cultures. You should just hear what names occure here in Europe and what those sound like \mean in English...

While pure h2o is not a conductor, arguably all the water most people ever come in contact with has imperfections, like salt and dust particles, and this causes water to conduct like crazy. There's a reason server rooms are usually equipped with humidity meters that shuts the electricity off in case of any wetness. If water gets into circuit board you're asking for a short circuit and permanent damage to the equipment.

I must agree with those who disagree with these parents. A 6 year old does not have any clue of how hard is to run 26 miles. And really..bribing one with pringles? That's all you can do? Even for a grown up is hard, mostly without any training, to run that long...hell, I get exhausted just rushing to the toilet, are you crazy?? This whole story and the way they are trying to cover their asses, sounds a lot to me like the parents who send their kids to beauty peagents. Their action is not less of a child abuse if they try to highlight how other kids are "really" abused.... seemingly good actions can also be abuse!

I might have misunderstood what you wrote, but if I am correct, you mean celebrating the mum on the child's birthday the correct way? It is one's birthday, what we literally celebrate, it is in it's name, Mother's day is the day we celebrate the mothers, A.K.A women who have given birth and raise their children. No person has ever asked to be born, and no woman who has chosen to give birth was told to do so (not talking about exceptions), so why would a mother be praised in the above case 4 times a year+her birthday+mother's day? Being a mother also involves that you are selfless, but giving birth to childern then acting as you're the frikin' diva of the century, just makes you a crappy mammal who can procreate and produce Christmas elves for yourself.

Depending on when, how and why. For ex. a boss might think an employee should present more humility, because he thinks the later one is "stupid" and should only listen to him/her for being the leader, and the employee doe stand up for him/herself, maybe even showing the boss how something is properly done (by experience), thus not showing humility. I don't think "humilty" is a good description for intelligence. Just sayin'...

Posted this before, but whatever it's my favorite. I'm a nurse and there was a case with two women who were related, I think cousins, and both pregnant with girls and they had their due dates around the same time. One had her baby first and named it Da'Finest. The other women was so angry that her cousin had her baby first and 'stole her baby name' she tried to get back at her by naming her own baby Da'Prettiest.
