Hey Parents Of Boredpanda!! Please Read The Description
I forgot to add that I’m a parent to three now adult children. I was a strict but fair parent, mum was the softy. My eldest is now a PHD holding doctor, my eldest son is an accomplished tattoo artist and my youngest is on the way to becoming a teacher. I was homeless at 14 until I was taken in by a man who owned a butcher shop that I used the doorway to sleep in let me sleep in the shop and worked in it during the day. I eventually saved enough for my own flat. Stop whining, kids and teenagers are protected now. Looked after even ones in difficult households. With the odd exception. Maybe I’m just and old grump now, I accept that. But I’m sorry, kids are entitled narcissists who expect everything and anything. Yes I get it, you now have extreme pressure to conform to your peers. More than ever before. But be an individual, Do your own thing, be what you want to be and f**k everyone else. You have no idea the pressure parents are under to provide you with everything they can. Less Negativity
For me it would be less negativity. Back then I was less aware of what was going on around the world outside of where I lived but now it’s almost instant coverage of the bad things happening everywhere.
Facts Were "Curated" In The Sense That Information Came From People With Expert Knowledge
Before the internet, facts were "curated" in the sense that information came from people with expert knowledge and was distributed by journalists or teachers who were held accountable for accuracy of information. The internet has allowed crazy people to spout rubbish with hardly any filter.Less Negativity

No Cell Phones
Leaving home and just being gone for the day. No cell phones. If there were cameras, it was really different. You used them to take pictures of things or had people take pictures of you. But there was no social media to preoccupy your mind. It was just doing something. And whoever you were with, was who you were with.
