the worst part is its not just cnn. its all news outlets. my husband works for a catholic news website and has to search thru unpublished headlines everyday. all headlines r either horrific or dumb it takes him hours to search for something that wouldnt upset or scare readers. took him 4 hours today just to find a single headline that didnt scream death, crime, politics or covid. its really sad how news is just a playground for idiots to scare the public. the website my hysband works for stays away from politics, controversy, and crime. we arent religious but honestly if i want to read good news i go to his website their is so many things worth reading and knowing about. who cares wat so so wrote on twitter im gonna read about an archological find that could unravel some of history's biggest mysteries.

Not sure what this has to do with Israel (obviously not a Muslim nation) but is in the Gaza strip, where one in five girls are force married as minors. In case you didn't read the news lately, girls as young as two are being sold into marriages which they are bound to for life under penalty of death. The fact that these particular girls are not being married doesn't change the fact that this happens millions of times a year worldwide.

As an Orthodox Christian, I don't have a problem with this except with the fundamentalist way it's being presented. All these things are appropriate for a Christian woman, but she is not limited to them & they should not be imposed on her by others. This only happened because the teachers knew they'd get crucified as "homophobic" or "transphobic" if they objected to what the boy was wearing. It wasn't a matter of sexism, exactly; more that LGBTQ folks are a protected class & the school knows they can't say anything about his attire without being branded as hateful bigots.
